The restaurant "O Pescador" is one of the oldest and best restaurants in the Azores. Always with the Mission of serving with excellence our customers, serving the best of what is done in the Azores.
Very elegant dining room with white cloth chairs. Service was impeccable. There was a very large selection of seafood. Huge lobsters were available. My wife and I selected the Cataplana (large copper pot). The cataplan featured clams, muscles, squid, shrimp, and fish in a cream sauce. It was one of the best meals of our trip to Terceira. The restaurant also has a large wine selection to match any meal. This is one of the top two restaurants on the island. I can't wait to come back.

The "Lava Preta" is on the main road of Biscoitos, not far from the natural sea water pools and therefore very conveniently situated for a meal after a swim.
The restaurant offers very good local food at a price which is low compared to the high quality of the ingredients. Especially the grilled beef is very recommendable. The service is friendly and efficient. We went twice and we recommend checking for the "prata do dia", the cheap (but very good) weekday lunch menu.

Food was at a good standard, the fried fish sausage was served as an appetizer with some decent quality bread, (so no need to order that as a starter), if you like your steak with a cheesy garlicky sauce deftinitely try the Steak Tornedeos, the filet mignon was also very delicious, the wine selection was good with an emphasis on portugese wine. A large group of us (24ish) were accomodated easily with little notice (but it was off-season).

Ate here after Reading on tripadvisor about the restaurant. It is quite hard to find (out of the main town) and looks like it is in a small house. However the food is amazing. I recommend the pot roast (steak) for meat lovers. Had a nice wine with it and the staff is really friendly. They also like to entertain the customers with acts like throwing plates around. They even replace a lot of furniture for you just to make it more cosy.
In the month June sitting outside can be annoying because there are a lot of mosquitos. So be aware of that.

Best value for food, especially lunch!. Best price for dinner (or regular food from the menu), Best server! (we've been served by the same male server and he is excellent!) great decoration, clean and of course best food!!! The only thing that i'm not a big fan was the creme brulee..chef-please do something about it! Despite the creme brulee..i love other dessert :) 5 star restaurant!

Coffee shop just off the main square. Espressos are great. Few outside tables where you can catch some sun. Nice staff, they speak perfect English.

My family loved this place; we came here often and they knew us so well we'd get our "usual" every time. My fave thing was ordering a soup of the day, baguette Sandwich with cream cheese/bacon/egg/lettuce/tomato/onion, and a fresh squeezed orange Juice. This place is SO inexpensive as well! Our whole family can eat for less than 20 Euros. The desserts are great; my kids love them. If you go for lunch go around 11:30 because this place is packed by noon. This was my family's fave place on the island. Also one of my fave places to meet friends for lunch.

Stopped here after hiking an unnecessarily high hill, after canyoning. We're a sucker for punishment, but the point is we were HUNGRY. So when this huge pie came out hot and cooked perfectly, we were in heaven. The staff was kind and quick and we couldn't have asked for a better meal.

Rather austere bakery , but popular with locals. Nice cookies and pastries . Good place to stop for coffee too. They also serve pizza . Rather hard to find . Down a dirt road.

We walked in and nearly as quickly walked out. It looked like a very down market place with plastic tables and a few people smoking. It also looked a bit dirty and in need of some TLC. Not to be recommended unless the smoking and the plastic tables appeal.
