So many choices! Everything that we have tried (at least one-third of the choices) has been excellent! Accurately baked Scandinavian bakery items just like your grandparents or parents made! Yum!!

Atmosphere: unique casual
Staff: Friendly, attentive, and efficient. Miguel, our server's, knowledge of the menu was extensive including the ingredients in each item, the source, how it was prepared, and food parings.
Our selections:
Focaccia - (with apologies to Paul Hollywood & Mary Berry) thicker than most Focaccia with a nice rise that resulted in a soft springy open texture that was not gummy. The crust was golden brown, but not stiff or flakey. The seasonings included olive oil, olives, garlic, salt, and a hint of rosemary that was perfection. The serving size was very generous, enough for 2.
Tuscan Bean Soup - medium intensity traditional flavors with a hint of heat. The beans were cooked to soft but not totally mushy. They serving size was large enough for 2 to enjoy as part of a meal.
Cioppino - wow and a very generous serving size. Lots of king crab, mussels, and clams in a pleasant broth of seafood stock with a hint of cream. The mussels were the best ever; plump, tender, with a mild ocean flavor. I asked Miguel their source for the muscles, ' all the shellfish is from Hamahama just a few miles away'.
Osso Bucco - the traditional recipe is a small serving of meat in a light wine stock. This interpretation is in a light tomato base served with parmigiana crusted potatoes; the meat is tender a flavorful. The serving size is generous.
Tiramisu - since tiramisu at Billini's in Toronto I have been searching for a better tiramisu; found it! So what makes this one the best? The cake is not too dry, yet moist without becoming soggy, the whipped cream is generous and light, but not too sweet. Unlike most factory tiramisus where the coffee and brandy flavorings predominant, these flavors are well balanced and subtle. The serving size is generous.
Wines - the extensive wine list includes by the bottle and by the 8 oz glass. I explained to Miguel that I prefer a a Sav Blanc that has a hint of grassy notes, but unfortunately many Sav Blancs are early harvest with grassy notes that over power. He offered a sample glass; it fit my preferences. Note: the selections of wine by the glass varies so be sure to sample.
Coffee - the coffee was a medium roast brewed to a light, but not watery concentration which complemented and did not overpower the Tiramisu.
PROS:
Extensive menu and wine selection
Food - respectfully prepared with balanced flavors
Cocktails - although I did not enjoy one, they looked artfully prepared and the other diners said they are excellent.
Staff - attentive, knowledgeable, friendly
Fresh lilies in the rest room
CONS:
Noise - the hard surfaces, walls, floors, ceiling and furniture contributes to a loud dining experience that could interfere with the social experience.
Air stagnation - the only fresh air exchange seems to be when the front door opens, as a result on a warm humid day in August with half the tables occupied the atmosphere seems stuffy. This alone is the reason for 4 stars and not 5.
Note to management: open a front window and put a box fan set to exhaust in a back open window. The diners and staff will have a much improved experience.
Summary - although it is a 3 hour drive from Portland we will return.

I'd never seen it before, and I love grapefruit. Their sorbet was like pink grapefruit - more sweet than sour, and it was terrific! They also have lavender vanilla ice cream. Lavender is definitely NOT my thing, but both of my friends who DO like lavender ordered it - it's their favorite and they're locals.

I can't believe this place isn't listed here - quirky, friendly, delicious, awesome hill view over Liberty Bay and you can help knit on the World's Longest Scarf project!
I probably visit this coffee shop more than anywhere else in Poulsbo. They have a very nice selection of coffee and syrups. They make a lavender syrup in-house. It's yummy in a latte. They always have a wide selection of baked goods available from a local bakery. They have just a different selection of beverages to choose from and frequently change the menu. The view from the back of the shop is also amazing!

I thought it was just going to be a quick cup of mocha. But Hot Shots Java was so relaxing that we lingered and chatted for ninety minutes. Great coffee, simple fare and an engaging environment with indoor or sidewalk seating. Coffee and snacks to go as well.

Great lil tapas place! We tasted a variety of items on the menu... Baked Oysters, Tuna tartar salad, flautas, raclette, and, the Seafood / Chicken Paella! Everything was yummy! Hubby even joined me and shared a bottle of Malbec! ? Your constant companion, ~deirdra

I haven't been here in two years but their beef pho was so memorably delicious that I just had to get it again. Still as good as I remember. It's best to eat in the dining room tho or if you take out, have a big bowl that holds at least two quarts or more to dump everything in. They serve it hot when you eat in but with takeout, it needs to be heated a bit more. Guess they don't want to get it too hot in the styrofoam containers. All the ad-ins are packed separately and they give you quite a bit of everything. Price is so reasonable and the pho is so delicious I could eat this a few times a week. So maybe it's good that I don't live nearby. Looking forward to the next time.

Coffee, espresso, breakfast, lunch, pastries and, smoothies. Caffe Umbria coffee. Breakfast; breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, quiche, and stratas. Lunch; made to order sandwiches, wraps, salads, and soup (seasonal).
This is a tiny Café, located in a small shopping alley between Front Street and the parking lot along the Marina. It serves excellent, fresh food! We love the tuna wrap with apples and almonds, and also the slightly spicy shredded pork wrap. Planning to give it a try for breakfast one of these days. The coffee is excellent, and so is the ice cream. There is not a lot of seating, but it does have a few tables outside if the weather is cooperative. Dogs are welcome outside, and have access to a bowl of water - even some dog biscuits located on the inside window sill! We're regular customers and have never been disappointed.

We came with reservations but the table choice they had assigned us was smashed up against an outdoor wall--they allowed us to change to one other option though other better tables were empty (and remained empty the entire time we were there). The wait staff did their job but friendliness was missing. Food was fine but small portions for the amount paid.

I've heard this is a seasonal item and having tasted it, I'd be sad if it wasn't on the menu! If you like burger's & spicy/tasty things, you've met your match. Truly a great burger. My friend and I spilt this with the salmon/fennel salad and both were delicious. Might seem like a odd combo but we loved it. I think they should market the diablo sauce, it's that good. Also, with the lovely harbor views, fun vibe and great service. What more can you ask for!
