Found the meal overpriced and the food so-so. Both our steaks (bif de chorizo) were overcooked and not very flavourful. Beer was ridiculously expensive, 1 bottle, med. size for 100.00 peso (10$). I did love the charcuterie board, a very impressive selection of good cheese, chorizo, marinated eggplant and olives but our bread didn't arrive until we were almost finished it. The music was annoying. There is outdoor Seating but the trees block any view of the Mountains.
If you are in area, a late afternoon drive to Potrerillos to enjoy the view of the lake and Mountains is definitely worth the effort (the landscape is stunning) but I am quite sure there are better places to eat.

Located opposite the Termas de Cacheuta in the pre-Mendoza mountain range, on the banks of the river Mendoza, surrounded by nature, history and customs that identify us. We have Creole restaurant (barbecues, Argentinean roast, meats on the flame, homemade coffee, live shows); Terrace bar (wines, international drinks, tea blends, gourmet sandwiches); Mountain warehouse; Craft shop and simple accommodation.
I went to this place yesterday as part of a trekking and rapelling excursion I booked through my hostel. First, the waitress gave us the wrong empanadas (I do not eat beef). The food itself could have been better, too. The salad was just fair, lettuce was dry and the carrot was really crunchy. The beer was great though, nice to have after climbing and rapelling for a few hours! I got the feeling that this place rests on its location and not its service. Gets the job done but not an amazing place.

Un tal Peter is a great little cafe in town. It is cozy, well priced, and has "buen onda" or "good vibes". The big front yard and view of the Mountains is unbeatable, and the bus picks up and drops off about a black away!

nothing better than stopping at H and G after a wet hike for a warm drink. It is homey, comfortable and well worth a stop over!

Totally blown away by this place. We arrived for lunch after being told by my boyfriend's parents that the hotel has recently reopened, it was where they were married so we felt obliged to visit.
My biggest tip is to visit on a week day.... We were literally on our own in the whole place for lunch. (At the weekend they have around 200 people per sitting, but still worth a visit)
Diego our host couldn't do enough for us. He was great.
We choice the Menu of the day which was a fixed price for 3 courses and wine. The food was amazing.
We were invited to spend the rest of the afternoon by the private pool where we spent some time Reading and admiring the views of the lake and snow capped Mountains. We didn't want to leave.
But leaving provided us with the biggest surprise...... The bill!
It was SO CHEAP! 3 course lunch for 2 of us, with wine, soft drinks in the afternoon and a bottle of sparkling wine came to a total of £35.
Not to be missed if you are in the area
