If you are coming for the Friday Fish Fry - come early if you want perch, as they ran out by noon. We had the fried cod which was delicious. Located walking distance to Lake Michigan, bakeries, a meat market and the Duluth Trading Company.

Service was quick and pleasant and it was very clean too, despite how busy they were...MoreThank you for your kind words! We were passing through this town and stopped at this place for lunch. My husband had a Smoked Salmon Wrap with chips and I had a small Grilled Cheese Panini with tomato and chips. Both sandwiches were very tasty. Since I was paying extra for the tomato, I expected a little more of it. The chips were sea salt kettle chips that we liked. My husband also had a Lakeside Latte that he enjoyed. Had to wait a bit for the food. Liked the industrial-look interior.

This is another local hang out and has delicious pastries. The place is relatively small but very relaxing. If you want to take out coffee and pastries you can, but it's very relaxing to sit and have a meal in this quaint coffee shop.

I was only visiting this quaint American town for one night so we had to choose our restaurant carefully as they only had one chance to impress us and it was a EPIC fail. How it is the number one restaurant on trip advisor for that area, I’ll never know. Strike one- my dad’s order was incorrect... strike two they refused to sell my mom a fruit cup even though they were sitting there (they were only for the special)... and strike three the eggs on my meal were undercooked.... and a bonus strike number 4 the special of the day was sitting on the counter (which had eggs in it- which just violates so many health code laws) so this restaurant was a strike out!!!! The one highlight was the hash browns were delicious and the parts of the meal I could eat were well done. Better luck to the next guest....

Baltica Bistro offers healthy, gourmet breakfast and lunch (fresh soups, quiches, salads and sandwiches that are made from scratch), our own delicious artisan desserts, a large selection of high quality loose leaf teas (served hot or cold), French Press coffee.
This restaurant sounded and even looked like it would be delightful, but we were disappointed. First of all service was SOOOO SLOOOOW. We had the special--half sandwich, cup of soup, and salad. We waited at least 45 minutes!
It was a cool, beautiful day outside, but the AC was cranked to the max so that we were shivering almost from the get go. At least the vents were in the floor and we were able to cover the one next to our table.
The carrot soup was so bland. We almost emptied the salt shaker to make it palatable. The half-sandwich was actually good, but it was essentially half of a Turkey sandwich. The salad was way too sweet.
I felt the price was high for what we received.

The Pasta Shoppe is a quaint Italian restaurant in beautiful downtown Port Washington, WI. The extensive menu offers an array of Italian dishes from pizza to pasta and sandwiches to entrees - many of them are family recipes that came straight from Sicily. The full bar offers beer and wine as well as a selection of refreshing martinis. Make sure to save room for dessert, the tiramisu is to-die-for.

We loved this place. We had the "Everyday Fish Fry." This restaurant has obviously been around for many years. It seems as though this is where the locals go. Friendly, fun atmosphere, great service, excellent food. Homemade coleslaw was super yummy. I am very picky as to where I eat seafood and We will definitely be back on our next trip to Port Washington.

Came here with my sister and neice on a Saturday night. I had the Greek Chicken, my sister had the Turkey dinner, and my neice had the Madiera Chicken. Started out with complimentary chips and salsa which I couldn't stop eating they were so good. Then had salad before dinner. Salad was fresh and dressing ok. I really enjoyed the Greek Chicken and mashed potatoes. I would definitely have that dish again.
