Our local friends waxed lyrical about this restaurant - you enter, you choose your fish, you tell them how you want it cooked and you are seated. Frankly we found the choice of fish disappointing - mussels excellent, whitebait very tiny, limpets inedible. We were recommended to have the tableta - steamed. When it arrived it was very overcooked - the best part was the canary potatoes..but the house wine was excellent value. A typical spanish family restaurant.

This is one of our regular restaurants to visit when in Tenerife, just off exit 46. When you enter you are met with a warm welcome and directed to the fish counter, where you make your fish selections. you are then shown to your table where your drink order is taken, and delivered promptly along with some fresh bread and mojo sauces. the fish is presented in courses, not all at the one time. first we had tiger prawns which came with a large bowl of salad and canarian potatoes, this was followed by calamari and then the large fish. all fish is the fresh catch of the day. to finish we had Barraquitos. wonderful meal, excellant meal and good value at €60. It is also worth mentioning that the kitchen is open plan, so if you wish you can observed the fish being cooked. The kitchen is always spotless.

Visited Tasca Anepa after a lovely walk round the coastal path from Poris. We went last Sunday and the place was packed with locals which is always a good sign. No menu, but the friendly waitress reels off so many dishes one has trouble remembering them all! We started with a plate of Pimientos Padron and went on to have a delicious fish fillet which was cooked to absolute perfection and accompanied by a lovely salad and papas arrugadas with green and red mojo sauce. A must for any fish lovers!

Clean, family-run restaurant specialising in fresh fresh fish.Choose your own fish from the open-topped freezer on entering the restaurant together with salad, Canary potatoes, and you must try the grilled local cheese in"mojo".Salads are generous portions.Fried squid and grilled prawns are delicious too.As soon as we land from our Madrid to Tenerife flight, we drive here for lunch...only 20 mins drive north from Reina Sofía airport.Friendly service, beautiful fish. Closes only on Wednesdays only.Even open on New Year's Day.

Grilled fish and meat canarian style, pizza and pasta italian style Beer at 1€ and mojito cubano original
A really delicious platter for two people of mixed squid with chips served on a sunny patio with a sea view by a friendly, helpful waitress, washed down by good beer for only 11 euros each. What more could you ask for? The other items on the menu also looked very good so we will be back before our holiday is over to sample something else. A pleasant chat with some locals on the next table was also much appreciated.

Stopped for directions in Arico and a local lady recommended Casa Lala to my wife as a place for typical Canarian food. We were not disappointed , it was delicious. Local salad to start and then lamb casserole with sweet potatoes. Chocolate mousse and ice cream with coffee to finish. Very friendly place . Will be going back for more !!.

In El Poris you don't really have much choice, but with Cafe Al Mar you will not go wrong. Food is simple but fresh, staff is friendly, prices are affordable. As the place is small, it's packed with tourists in the evening, so be prepared to wait for your table or eat at the beach in the front. Worth a visit!

My husband and I went here on the recommendation of our climbing guide. No frills, Pepe tells you the menu and what you'll be eating ( if you understand Spanish - no English spoken) don't let this put you off as the food, in it's simplicity, is good, wholesome, traditional grub. We ate cheese, tomatoes and avocado to start, followed by the slow cooked goat with home cooked chips! In my opinion, it was one of the tastiest and plentiful meals I've ate on the island. Will definitely return to visit Pepe and his wife :)
