We are a small southern meets Cajun restaurant. Our chef was born down in New Orleans and he brings those flavors to the hills of north Mississippi.
My wife & I stopped in for lunch on Sep 9 while in Pontotoc doing some family genealogy research. It was about 1:00pm when we stopped. We found Boondocks from prior TripAdvisor reviews. This is a very casual place. People dining appeared to be from businesses in the vicinity, folks from the county courthouse, families with small children, etc.
We were not disappointed. The sandwich and burger were very good and the sweet potato fries were excellent. We will return the next time we are in Pontotoc.

Doubt you will find a URL but it is listed with the Pontotoc, MS Chamber of commerce 662-489-5640
Absolutely hands down one of the best off the wall places I have ever been too. We had a group of 7 including 2 children and everyone loved their food choices. The steaks covered the plate and the amount of food was extremely generous. The staff were very friendly and even though it was packed the service was super fast. Give this place a try you will definitely not be disappointed. Another great plus is the price. Extremely reasonable.

We ate there for the evening meal and it was order only from the menu. The buffet is at lunch time. The service was great and the food was good with large portions. You are warmly received at the door, seated and brought chips and salsa get your drinks and come back for your order. Will return again.

Delicious icing on the cupcakes! Can't wait to get back to try a sandwich next time. I had a coupon for cupcakes and enjoyed them both! Very nice staff and cute decor!

If you like barbeque, this is the place. Jerry takes his time with the cooking and only uses the finest meats. My wife and I have eaten his pulled pork, baby back ribs, chicken, and brisket. My wife is a pulled pork person and I like baby backs. The pulled pork is full of flavor and the baby backs are fall-off-the-bone tender. We both like all the items, but those are our preferences. Sauce is served on the side and you can get mild, hot, extra hot, and extra extra hot. However, I never use the sauce on my baby backs. They are perfectly seasoned. My wife uses a little sauce on her pulled pork and we use a little on the brisket and chicken. However the meat is so well seasoned and smoked that we don't want the sauce to overcome the meat flavor. You can eat in, but we always take out. When we have visitors from out of town the repeat visitors always want at least one meal from Blacksmith.

Great little hometown dining. On Saturday night there was entertainment. Get there before 7:30 as was busy after that. Very small but service and food were good. My husband had the special. Pork chop. Salad, baked potato. Texas toast all for 12.99. I grilled chicken salad. Not much to say about that plain Jane choice. Food court Ming out to other diners looked generous. Very much a local place since everyone who came in acknowledge each other. Owner/manager checked on us. Have to mention the crushed ice in the drinks it's MY thing. Go there early and enjoy the small town shops. Close to Oxford,Ms-30 minutes. Nice place to get away from pricey, parking issues in Oxford. Good choice on game weekends

The food is unremarkable, and the menu hasn't changed in at least 10 years. Service is average, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is questionable. They ought to be embarrassed at the condition of the carpet, booth upholstery, and table cloths.
Others have mentioned the buffet. It is standard Sysco fare. There is a much better Sunday buffet just up the road in Ecru.

Chicken strips were tasty and not too dry. Fries were as expected, and slaw was good too. Meal was reasonably priced, and they have hot sauce also if you ask. Plenty of seating available, but parking can be pretty congested. They have a drive through if you want added convenience.

This place caters to every palate. They have comfort, spicy, healthy, hearty, and appetizers. Lots of variety, always fresh! Not a busy place, but it should be because it is awesome! My family eats there at least twice a month.
