Saturday night and what does a family do but go out to eat. There is available parking at the restaurant and vale parking is available on weekends. As we were entering we observed the restaurant is busy. I gave my name and was advised about 20 minutes.
To pass the time we watched customers come and go, food being delivered to tables, and 2 contestants get bankrupt on Wheel of Fortune. Less than 20 minutes we were fitting at our table. We knew what we wanted as it was discussed during the wait. A bread basket was delivered containing fresh, hot soft bread and small squares of corn bread. It went fast and another was asked. Our server Sharon, was friendly, and helpful.
The calamari at Gilligan's is the best and always ordered when eating here. The dinner includes main, salad, veg, and potato. The stuffed sole with crabmeat has been a family favorite, and as usual, does not disappoint. Fresh and tasty it was. The dinner platters are plentiful, and the prices are reasonable.. Gilligan's is the place to go for a fulfilling fish dinner. Service, food, and value are all very good, and I shall return.

We dined outside and it was a beautiful night. The service is really good. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The prices are fair and the food is always fresh. I had my favorite , tortilla soup and quesadillas. My 12 yr. old had a cheeseburger and french fries. There is a good selection for everyone and I am very picky. Can't wait to come back

No matter what you order, you can’t go wrong!
The food is always fresh & cooked to perfection. Great selection. They’re specials at lunch & dinner are at a great price.
Hogan’s diners have been in there family forever, 2 other brothers have ones also in Rockland County as their parents were known for the famous Janet Hogan Diner!!

Unlike its Stony Point offshoot, Blu Fig New City is a big hit. Perhaps it's the ambiance of the cobblestone courtyard outside abuzz with people dining al fresco, or of the tin-ceilinged interior that faces a beautiful large pizza oven. Or perhaps it's the large portions and low prices. Though everyone seems to love this restaurant, we have to give it a very mixed review. That picturesque high tin ceiling and the cavernous interior amplify every sound: at lunchtime and dinnertime the noise is overwhelming and conversation is impossible. The quantity and quality of the food vary by dish: the main dish salads are fresh, original, delicious and very affordable: my favorites are the Mediterranean and Southwestern, both very generous with the shrimp. But the chefs' originality doesn't always pay off: the hummus neither looks nor tastes like the real thing; sandwiches are overpriced and understuffed: it's hard to taste anything but the bread; most main dishes are large but diner quality, the exception being their excellent chicken kebabs. By all means stop by and try this restaurant for yourself, but pick your time and menu selection carefully.

I went here a few months ago with some friends for a date night. We were lucky in the sense that it was not very busy at all, even on a Saturday night. This is kind of a hidden pearl as it is part of the Golf Club and you actually have to turn into the club driveway itself to get to the restaurant located inside. Overall though, good service, great appetizers and food (was clearly made and served fresh, always a plus). It is a tad on the expensive side but the food warrants that for the most part. We will return, especially since we live only 1000 yards away!

Specifically, my daughter-in-law, to know what a gem this place is. She and my son flew in from Seattle, and after that first hot, fresh bagel straight off of the oven, she had me bring her back two more times. It's a consumer-friendly industrial experience, where you put on your plastic glove, and pick from bins and racks of the freshest, best tasting baked goods you ever ate. I've heard from many restaurants in the area that their breads, served next to their signature dishes, come from Rockland Bakery, and it's no Wonder (yes, pun intended!)
I plan on visiting more frequently, and not taking this wonderful place for granted any longer.

Some bagels are doughy, some are hard and some just don't live up to the hype. Not at David's though. Terrific bagels, bialys, Flagels (flat bagels) as well as pastries, cookies and great rugaluch. Their salads are fresh and their spreadable cheeses are worth the indulgence, especially the Scallion Cream Cheese. (which I can eat with a spoon).

Great pizza and chicken wings , my favorite is garlic wings and most of their soups are made to perfection. My wife loved their eggplant dishes , just once the pizza was extra salty, the owner may need to know this for food consistency

Had dinner here with some friends. I've been here before and have never been dissappointed. I had the veal parm and others in the group had other things. A very special Thank You to Rocco and his beautiful wife Madeline, they made us feel right at home. Also a big Thank You to our server Marie and Agurio who has served us in the past. For great Italian or other dishes be sure to stop at Rocco's. Great food and service.

We decided to drive 20 miles up the Palisades Parkway to our favorite restaurant for a late lunch. We ordered Hong Kong Style Pan Noodles with shrimp, chicken and steak that Mabel Woo introduce us to taste many years ago. During lunch we noticed one long time employee was sobbing and advised us that Mabel had succumb to coronary complications.
We have known Mabel since she purchased the old Szechuan Gardens and transformed the restaurant into one of the best Chinese restaurants in the NY / NJ metro area. Mabel would always come around to every table and greet all her patrons with conversation like you were a personal friend. Mabel dressed meticulously and always in fine style. The conversations would always end with a sincere "Thank you for coming"
Mabel's reputation will live on in Ocean Empire with the fine Chinese epicurean delights she created with her wonderful staff......I thank Mabel for her warm friendship and may she rest in peace.
