3 locations in Ploiesti. Very good quality and quantity of food, fine wines, facilities for tourist groups, cheap normal or business lunch, very clean. This is a short review about 3 restaurants DA VINCI in Ploiesti City - Romania. Few words about this town - it was "the capital of petroleum" before the second world war, and near Ploiesti is situated the first oil raffinery in the world. The town is very good located, if you want to go in some trips to the Buchegi Mountains, because it is very close to Prahova Valley with the known mountain stations : Sinaia, Azouga... The restaurants DA VINCI are very well managed, and you can eat and drink here at cheap prices. You can have romanian and italian specialities in huge quantities at a very good quality of the products. Also they have the facilities for groups more then 10 members - one of the group can eat without payment. Also they have promotional prices for normal or business lunch. A good musical band make possible an agreable evening, because you can dance. Everything is very clean, including the toilettes.
This is a restaurant that i always visit when I come to Ploiesti. This time I went there with 2 business friends. It was Valentine's day so the restaurant was full. They made us wait 1 hr just to order. Service was very disappointing. The food was ok as usual. The cost was ok. Only service was the issue but I guess this could be ok for the special day

We've just got back from having dinner at Prestij.. where despite having something really simple, grilled sea bass with baked potatoes, I've got a troubled stomach (and I have no such problems usually).. this added up to the fact that fish was very very dry, with no seasoning, taste or flavor whatsoever.. it tasted like eating chalk.. the potatoes with a bit of sour cream on top were so bland, it's hard to imagine how a potato could be so tasteless.. maybe, by now one wonders why I ate some of those.. well, we went there with some friends, they use to have lunch there and they said the menu they serve then is ok. Having not been there with our friends, we would have sent all the food back, except maybe for the fried potatoes my husband had. But, as they recommended this place, based on their lunch experience, we didn't want to hurt their feelings, especially that we get together to eat out once in six months or so.
But, this evening, we were all very disappointed. My husband ordered pork scruff and potatoes with rosemary. The scruff was really tough and tasteless and the potatoes were just OK-ish. Our friends both had some pork dishes, with rice and grilled vegetables as side dishes. Neither of them was delighted with their choices. Both said the lunch is much better. As dessert, the boys took chocolate cake, the house's cake, which was so terrible that one of them just couldn't not have that. And he is very keen on sweets.
And to add to all that, the food came after one hour and a half.. being a Saturday night they had a wedding, which had higher priority than us. During that time, nobody came to let us know about the delay. When the food finally arrived, no apologize whatsoever. When my husband asked if something happened to the chef, we've got the explanation about the wedding.
It's also a very expensive place for what they offer, my dish for example, was 10 EUR, which is expensive for Ploiesti. And for the quality they provided was robbery.
The food we've got in the university canteen, during the communist years, was far better then this.. and much much cheaper, of course.
The atmosphere was nice, we stayed outside, they have a nice gazebo.
But if you care about the quality of the food and services, please find another place to eat in this town. There are some good options to try.

Nice place, good music and tasty and variate food. Prices are very good for the quantity and quality they offer.
In Ploiesti are two locations, one of that central and the second one at the begining of Independence bulevard.
We visit often and recommend this location for eat or just to drink a juice with friends.

Had a business dinner there a couple of days ago - it`s a cozy and quiet place - the only minus i can give is the lack of parking spaces.
As for the food - everybody enjoyed dinner - lamb specialties, ribs (brilliant - but enough for two), chicken, mixed grill and desserts - we were around 20 persons and everybody had a good meal.
Will definitely be back ...

What surprised me here is there is a remote control device on your table. The device is used to place an order or call the staff. Food was good and the service was pretty fast. Yes and try the lemonade with mint.
