This is a quiet, little romantic restaurant with a full dinner menu. The food is excellent in quality and the staff works very, very hard to make your experience a mamorable one.
If you eat here, you will want to come back for another visit. The menu can be found online and prices are very modest compared to the quality of the food. The presentation of the plating is pure artwork.
This restaurant is not on 5th Avenue and that makes it a quiet, romantic spot. If you are vacationing in Playa Del Carmen, this is a must visit!

Top shelf in every respect. We were not guests at the hotel but were ushered by designated staff to the restaurant. Great service, tasty food, marvelous setting We dined al la cart and brought a bottles of 21 year old grand cru burgundy which was handled with the care it merited.

Pavo Real by the Sea is an intimate, magical restaurant at the edge of the best beach in the world. You will come for the gorgeous view, you will come back for the incredible food prepared by Chef Alfonso Gonzalez and the attentive service and excellent wine list. Enjoy cocktails in the open-air bar at the edge of the beach, then choose a table in the garden or in the cozy salon decorated with original art, sit back and let us serve you a meal you won't be able to forget. The menu includes fresh foie gras, local fish and seafood, rack of lamb, beef tenderloin, bouillabaisse...And more. For a really special occasion, reserve a private romantic dinner on the beach. We look forward to your visit.
About a fifteen-minute cab ride from our Fairmont Mayakoba resort, we discovered a wonderful little restaurant situated right on the water.
(Be advised that to get there, you first cab to the Hotel Amarte (the outside of which doesn’t look very promising; you turn in right beside the Burger Stop sign. You then wait in the hotel lobby for the restaurant’s shuttle driver to fetch you and drive you another ten minutes through dense jungle to finally reach the restaurant. This little gem is absolutely worth the time it takes to reach it!)
The restaurant has both inside and outside seating; both very attractive. It was quite windy when we arrived and we changed tables from sitting outside to sitting in a very romantic little outside, but well protected, free standing structure that housed one table. We were completely sheltered when the rains blew in.
The food was delicious. My wife had lamb one night and I had fish. Salad entrees were both tasty. As was dessert.
The staff was attentive, friendly and professional.
Our dinner was also reasonably priced.
How much did we enjoy our Pava Real experience? Before we left, we booked a res for the following night. And our second evening there was as special as our first!
If you’re staying anywhere nearby, this culinary delight is a must. Enjoy!!!

We've enjoyed Richard's restaurant in the daytime, and this year, we were very happy to learn that Mi Cocina would be open in the evening. Sebastian, the evening chef, is passionate about cooking, and we have enjoyed several of his delicious and flavourful creations-- burritos, chiles rellenos (the best I've had, and I've made a point of tasting many), pozole, and a grouper fish dinner. Fine dining at affordable prices! Joe works with Sebastian, and they are a great team. I'm so sorry the restaurant is so far from home, but I can't wait to go back next winter!

Was here last night. Had Caprese with LOTS of Pesto which I love. Filet Mignon as the main course. Was totally OK but I want mine thicker so a little bit surprised. Had to ask for sauce which is a downer. House wine was 500 pesos which is expensive. They put 15% tip on (I know I could have changed it) which is a lot. Normally it's 10% in PDC. WiFi did not work. All in all a good experience, mainly because of the staff/owners. Total was 1070 pesos which by far is my highest after 2 weeks here

The Grill executed a premiere fine dining experience from the atmosphere, to the service and the food which features Prime Steak and Seafood. We actually planned on going to La Cocina the other restaurant at Hyatt as part of our Playa Del Carmen day trip. However, the restaurant was closed in favor of a Mexican Buffet which is not our cup of tea. Thank you as the Grill proved to be one f the best restaurants we have ever been to in the Riviera Maya.
The Grill is special even if smart business casual. Our steaks and seafood could not have been any better and served hot and fresh from kitchen. The wine list was superior and reasonably priced. Our waiter met every expectation and deserved the larger tip. We came here from Fairmont Mayakoba as part of half day trip to Play Del Carmen and it was a good choice for dinner and secure parking prior to our walk down 5th Ave.

Traditional Mexican & Austrian Cuisine Where flavor is everything and the freshest ingredients are prepaired to order in our open kitchen Creating ☺ and returning customers with the best view in Puerto Morelos
After a day at the beach, my boyfriend and I decided to have dinner in Puerto Morelos before heading home to Cancun. I'm so glad we choose Richard's. From the moment we entered the service was friendly and attentive. Andres was our waiter and he was superb the entire time we were there. Knowledgeable about the menu and sduper friendly.
I had the goulash and my boyfriend had the schnitzel. As an appetizer we had the salmon carpaccio.
To say the food was outstanding really doesn't do it justice. The beef shank in the goulash was so tender it just melted my mouth. The sauce was perfect. Just the right balance of paprika to the other spices. And the kind of bread meatball served with goulash was perfectly cooked. I would order this again without a doubt.
My boyfriend's schnitzel was equally outstanding. Crisp breading that didn't overpower the pork and was perfectly seasoned. It came with perfectly cooked parsley potatoes and salad dressed with just a touch of balsamic vinegar.
We didn't have dessert because the portion size of both meals filled us up but the desserts we saw being delivered to other tables looked very good. Maybe on our next visit.
All in all, the perfect dining experience. We will definitely be eating there again.

Vegan restaurant made with love you will find live food, pizzas gluten free, shushi, Sandwich, Veggieburguers, tapas, extracts whaetgrass shots, smoothies and much more. Come and have a great time.
The setting in this rather basic mexican restaurant is simple, yet so inviting and "comfy". The staff is so pleasing and helpful especially for "Gringos" that hardly speak "espaniol". (my mistake) The (vegie) burgers that we ate were simply delicious. I was able to buy...MoreWe love to be your first one. The food you had not only wasn´t free of any animal element. It was produced in our own greenhouse. We assure the quality by growing with organic methods. Thank you for sharing your visit with others. Vegan salutes!

A reclaimed shipping container serving a globally-inspired menu of delicious, well-made, simple food and a Tequila, mezcal and signature cocktail bar with ocean views.
Everything at DK is up-cycled or recycled, from the shipping container that makes up the building itself to the tables and chairs made of pallets and the steps made from old tires. In addition, Tony prepares lion fish, a highly invasive and predatory species that has become a serious problem along the Caribbean coast here (and other places) and which is worth eating. But even setting all that admirable stuff aside, the shrimp and peppers on coconut rice, the pork belly and mushrooms (and other things; I forget), and the chicken with ginger and honey are seriously delicious. Enjoy, and feel good about your meal and your ecological ethics.
