Multiple Award winning family owned and operated restaurant!
We stopped here when traveling between Orlando and Clearwater. The staff was pleasant and timely. The food was excellent.
It is a fairly small establishment, seating approximately 50 people.
The food was very good. My husband had the Pulled Pork Sandwich, BBQ beans, and green beans. I had Catfish with hush puppies.
I had never had catfish before and was amazed at how light and tasteful it was.
My husband was very pleased with his BBQ.
We would definitely enjoy eating here again.

Fred's Market Restaurant serves up a special taste of farm-to-plate freshness, on our MarketTableTM. Our food is slowly cooked in a natural and unprocessed way, served in a cozy atmosphere full of warmth and fun. We don't compromise on quality or character whether it's the ingredients in our dishes or the attitudes of our people. It's southern comfort that's pure and hearty all the way to the core and it's all found at Fred's Market Restaurant.
Everything we tried tasted like it was homemade. The corned beef hash and chorizo were particularly good. While, I don’t normally have fried chicken for breakfast - it was delicious. The staff was attentive. This is a perfect Sunday family breakfast destination. We will return when we’re in the area.

Strawberry Hut has a great lunch business! They are known for the best Cubans in town! Their Garbanzo Bean Soup is awesome! Their Milk Shakes and Malts are also great!
They even have breakfast Cuban sandwiches with bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese. Great to bring for a business breakfast.

I've been coming to Grandpa Johnson's BBQ since the mid-80s when I lived in Plant City. I now live in Orlando and drive here several times a year to get delicious barbecue. They know how to do barbecue and their sides are fantastic! The servings are large and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend that you stop in and try Grandpa Johnson's BBQ anytime you're in the Plant City area!

Great chicken, gizzards, etc. Always juicy but sometimes a little heavy on the salt. Not to worry, on those occasions just pop a French fry first since they never salt those (franchise rules, I asked.) Deep fried deviled crabs are the standard type around here but good. Don't let the apple "turnover" fool you; it's really a fried apple PIE! Scrumptious!

Had lunch with my Air Force friend from 1971 there. About halfway between Sarasota and Kissimmee. I had the split pea soup, excellent. My wife had the avocado BLT on multigrain bread. That was also excellent. Then we all shared a serving of their strawberry shortcake pictured here! I highly recommend this cafe!

The crown jewel of this place is the pepperoni rolls. Absolute heaven in a piazza dough roll. Crispy on the outside, soft dough and filled with melted mozzarella cheese. It’s served with a drizzle of olive oil and a side or marinara sauce. They serve a “deep dish” pizza that we all know as Chicago style and it take a bit longer to cook but boy it’s worth the wait if you are a saucaholic. We ordered the “old town” that is pepperoni, sausage and bacon crumbles. The only nick
In the blade is they use bacon bits instead of fresh bacon. Good food, a bit noisy from the kids and those that feel the need to shout about all the great things they did and all the awesome people they know. Lol. Give it a try.

Service was so friendly and attentive.
But the food was just okay. The fried okra was great though.
The salad bar was sad.
It's not bad, but it's not fantastic.
It's just good ol standard food.
If you places like sizzler or ryan's...you'll probably like it.

We took friends visiting from out of country and they loved the new for them experience. We had a very entertaining chef, and a friendly waiter. Always enjoy the food, and the portions are large, so nice to have a lunch for the next day as well.

We love to eat here and make the 1 hour drive about once per month. Great buffet with hot and cold items, like Grandma use to make. Fried chicken is always flavorful and moist. The strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream is a must.
