Many of our customers are regulars who eat at Der Dutchman, or carry out from our menu, more than once a week. We’re their “kitchen away from home”—and with good reason. Der Dutchman serves exactly the kind of simple food associated with home cooking—hearty, satisfying, made-from-scratch meals that make everyone happy to pull up to the table. It’s tradition you can taste. Our menu features Amish cooking at its best. Sample our mouthwatering broasted chicken, tender roast beef and ham, real mashed potatoes, stuffing and vegetables. Save room for dessert, though, with choices of pies, cakes, bread puddings.

For a unique experience, dine in an Amish Buggy situated in the dining room! Whether you make Plain City your home or you’re just passing through, you’re always welcome to join the regulars for a hearty meal and a heaping helping of hospitality. Come on in and let Der Dutchman Restaurant be your home kitchen away from home.
I love Der Dutchman! I live in nearby Columbus and venture out here about 6 times a year for dinner. I always get the buffet. All you can eat Amish food. My favorite is broasted chicken. Can’t get enough. If I lived closer, I’d be here more often. I always run into friends when I’m here too. Makes it extra fun. The bake shop is also amazing. The donuts are huge. My favorite are the 12” cream filled long Johns.

Met a friend for lunch and was very pleasantly impressed. Ordered the popular Cuban sandwich (huge) with a side of fried plantains (a taste sensation). The sandwich was perfectly roasted with loads of pork, gooey cheese, pickles and mustard.
The fried plantains were sweet and yummy. The service was incredible! The wait staff is kinda eclectic and very attentive. Definitely recommend!

Handcrafted for Five Generations Since 1870. Louis and Regina Graeter started handcrafting Graeter's Ice Cream in 1870. Today, generations later, we proudly remain family owned and operated. This is made possible thanks to you, our legion of loyal fans. For a century and a half, Graeter's has remained steadfast in our commitment to making ice cream in 2 gallon French Pots one batch at a time.
The flavors are fantastic and the chocolate chunks are the most amazing surprise every time you go. They list them as chocolate chips, but they are really huge chunks of chocolate. They have so many good flavors, like the Buckeye and any of their fruit flavors - you can't go wrong with any of them. I have had ice cream all over the world and I still rank Graeter's #1 and I visit all the locations I can every time I come to Columbus!

Where locals gather and visitors are always welcome! A quaint Irish Pub located in the heart of Historic Dublin. Serving unique and standard Irish fare. Great selection of Irish beers and whiskies.
It feels like a cozy neighborhood tavern that's been around a long time. A great place to get a good meal and cocktail. Love their Irish coffee! Summertime they have a perfect patio for outdoor dining. Timing is everything, however, because there can be a wait during busy times.

´Tis a grand day.
This is Cheese and so much more.
We have been stopping at The Cheese House for many, many years.
In my view, one might obtain a far superior meal at The Cheese House than at the nearby "Amish Buffet."
Young employees are first rate!
The tariff is appropriate for the fare.

This is a yummy addition to the central Ohio area. I believe there are two or three locations. They do bundt cakes. Period. And they do it well. They have various sizes and flavors. There white chocolate, chocolate, red velvet, and lemon are all splendid. There seasonal pumpkin is one you should also try. I've never had a dry cake--always moist and delicious.

The people that own this place were very kind, I will say that. The older woman who runs the phones was very sweet to me. Pizza had that thin, dry corrugated cardboard crust with poor quality toppings. Salads were mostly cheese! I probably won't go back, even if they were nice.

Waiter was very knowledgeable and professional. He seemed to be having fun.having early dinner with friends so wanted something lite to eat. Several of us had salads. I'm the only one disappointed. Greens were not crisp so for me hard to eat. Chicken salad and hamburger looked and was good. What was the best looking entree and tastiest was eggs Benedict. I would go again to try it for real food. What didn't help my enjoyment was we dined outside and was chilly.

Every time we order here for delivery it's an hour. The most recent order for a pizza was 1hr and 20 mins. They almost always get something wrong. This time it was the wrong drink. I find the sandwiches to be better than the pizza, but that's a personal opinion. The pot roast sub is excellent.

I went to Plain City Lanes for a children's birthday party and pizza was served. There are a couple of other pizza places in plain city and this is about at the bottom of the list, but is slightly better than frozen. To make it worse... the girl bringing out the pizza and tending the bar was not happy to be there at all. If you want good pizza in Plain City then go to Ole Grub House 42 pizza at the intersection of 161 and 42. If you want great pizza then go up the road to Benny's in Marysville. If you want bowling and pizza in Plain City - then this is what you get.
