Always very welcoming. Great service, very very good food. Lovely fresh seafood and fish and the goat's leg is a must. All reasonably priced, it is one of the favourite places of the locals for a reason. Highly recommended!Thank you very much for your opinion. We hope to see you soon. Regards!

Brilliant Spanish food, very very good prized, very fresh and pack of flavour, the onlu lack more proffesional staff. Is a hidden little gem with live music in weekends.
El Gallego is a fantastic restaurant if you are celebrating or want to entertain. It is quite literally a carnivores heaven with the biggest steaks, meat dishes and a fantastic selection of fish. To be fair there is not much on offer for vegetarians. We visited with our family and had a feast - of various steaks and meat platters.
You are submerged in Spanish culture with a real family feel and a friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant Meson Rio Seco is located in the Valencian town of Pinar de Campoverde, in the mountainous area of Pilar de la Horadada, in the province of Alicante. The kitchen team is committed to quality cuisine, both traditional and Spanish.

Among the most outstanding dishes you will find the complete Salad "Rio Seco", grilled octopus, brie cheese with tomato jam, croquettes of the house with Iberian ham, pil-pil cod or the fabulous stuffed chicken Rio Seco. And to culminate the gastronomic experience, do not miss the "Paula" chocolate cake from the Meson Rio Seco restaurant.

There is the possibility of eating through the menu day and night, in addition to try their rich tapas. In addition, the Meson Rio Seco restaurant houses celebrations of all kinds such as weddings, communions, birthdays as well as shows with live music, flamenco, and other themed parties. Are you still thinking about it?
Had to check he photos to make sure I had the right venue based on the reviews as this certainly did not mirror my experience.
Visited here for a lunchtime and the restaurant was very quiet, service was pretty slow and the staff actually sat down at a table and had their own lunch. Food under whelming and although not expensive I would suggest there are far better options in Pilar - for example not a patch on Lorenzo's
However appreciate they have themed nights and menu of the day and perhaps this is the appeal

A few along here by the Beach. Lovely location in the sun just opposite the beach.
Good menu, good food, good price, excellent location.
Friendly waiters.
Enjoyed our visit and will return. Can have a very pleasant walk along the front after.
Plenty of parking but probably difficult in high season.

Set in a lovely square in torre. We sat outside in the evening and it added to the occasion.
Tony, the owner was very attentive and also humorous.
There was plenty to choose from on the menu of the day or a la carte menus.
Our group tried the onion soup with cheese crouton and the battered mushrooms, both of which were lovely and tasty.
We then had steak, pork loin and chicken dishes, all of which were cooked to perfection and hot. Came with potatoes and fresh cooked vegetables.
For afters we chose, a lemon sorbet and apple crumble tart with cream, delicious.
Complementary drinks were delivered which included a non alcoholic one for the designated driver. Great touch.
Great night, lovely setting, delicious food.

This seemed be the place to go for Sunday lunch, judging by the loud buzz of conversation. Service was fast and efficient - in fact the waiters and waitresses literally ran around, sweating. Prices were excellent - the €6.95 menu includes prawn crackers, spring roll, salad or soups, choice of 14 main courses, rice or noodles, wine/beer/soft drink, ice cream or creme caramel or tea or coffee, and there's a choice of Japanese, Thai or Chinese food.

We visited this wonderful retaurant twice on our most recent trip to our place in Pinar de Campoverde. The quality and presentation of the food is really outstanding and the service is impeccable. Lovely wine list. Lovely intimate atmosphere. 10 out of 10 for us!
