My wife and I ate here several months ago and it was very good. Located in a shopping center so there is ample parking. It is located just off route 322. They have a surprising variety of beers and wines. The food menu is pretty large. I recommend the buffalo chicken cheese steak. Very good! The portion sizes are decent and the prices are very fair. The servers were friendly. This is by far the best restaurant in Philipsburg in my opinion.

It's a good place for pizza. They made it right in front of us. It's a family owned place, has several tables. On street parking. We didn't have any trouble finding a place to park on a Saturday afternoon. It's easy to find, on one of the main streets.

OK, there's not much to choose from, but you will do just fine with Jackson's......very good menu, great food, good prices and EXCELLENT service. Steak night is worth it.... Its a Bar, but a clean and family friendly bar.....with great food. Informal setting with a lot of local regulars, but a "nebbie" will not be made to feel uncomfortable. Try it, my wife & I think you will li

Saw that the old "Pokey's" restaurant was purchased by new people and renamed "Bones". New owners just remodeled the old existing building. We decided to give it a try and were very happy with our meals. I got the pork ribs dinner. Ribs were meaty and delicious. Done very well. My wife got a fresh ground burger - perfect! Of course, the draft beer washed it all down nicely. We were waited on promptly, courteously, and in a friendly manner.
Interior was new and clean: Wood beams and trim, new floors and light walls made for a nice, new atmosphere. There are 2 parts to this establishment. There is the quiet restaurant part on the left and the bar part on the right, divided by the kitchen area in the middle. Great place to watch a football game, etc.
This was a real nice eating out experience. All ages: younger crowd - older crowd will enjoy it here.

Stopped in for a quick BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (because I have heard how delicious it is!) and left with some freshly cut Pork Chops for dinner! The restaurant food was indeed delicious. The Meat Market side offered really nice selections of pork. I went with the Pork Chops for the grill-which were superb!

Had lunch with my son and we enjoyed the pizza and a delicious cheesesteak. The bread was very good and I thought the sandwhich tasted great. The pizza is tasty as well. We would return !

For those that don't know the Sheetz name, Sheetz is one of the largest privately owned convenience stores in the country. Locations throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and some in NC. Good food prepared on premises, gas pumps, etc.

My husband and I were staying for a few days in nearby Black Moshannon State Park; we stopped in to R J's to eat lunch and watch a Champion's League semi-final soccer match at 2 pm on a weekday. The pub itself has free wifi, a pool table, two tv sets that show the same program, a bar area that seats a small number of people, and a few tables with chairs. The décor is "well-used," sporting some worn, slightly torn padding on a few of the bar stools. The food is served on disposable plates with plastic cutlery - BUT it was freshly made to order, delicious, and quickly prepared, not to mention very inexpensive! The bar area had a SUBSTANTIAL variety of reasonably priced beers and liquors, and even cider on tap (can't beat cider on tap). The newly-hired server was exceptionally friendly in a laid-back kind of way. Another real highlight of our visit was the other patrons in the pub who were very conversational, helpful in offering directions, and friendly; they didn't mind at all that we wanted to watch European soccer in this small, Pennsylvania town - and were even interested in watching the game.
The manager (who doubled as the cook) was also very friendly and accommodating. This two-person operation was the ideal place to get the flavor of Philipsburg and this part of Pennsylvania. These folks are "salt-of-the-earth," and this laid-back establishment is worth your time if you want to meet and get to know some regular people in this part of the country. If we ever get back that way we will definitely stop in again!

The cheese steak sandwich and fries were very good. Pretty darn close to the original Goodys cheese steak. Which is a good thing! They also have hand dipped ice cream, sundays and shakes. Will definitely go back!

We were traveling to visit family that live in Philipsburg. They suggested Pizza Hut. We were truly surprised. This was not like any Pizza Hut we had been to before. They have an actual separate working Bar area and plenty of room for tables and family seating. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good. The personal pan pizzas were better than we have had. The pasta dishes were very good and taste. It was a very pleasant and unexpected dining experience. We will go again when in the area.
