Just off Sukumvit Road, on the way to Ban Phe. Formerly adjoining a dried fish factory was on the property. In a fantasic rain forest setting. The menu is wide and varied including crocodile, emu and snails. However, the standard Thai fare is there and of the highest quality. Ice cream sundae for the kids and creative irish whiskys for the adults.
This place is off the beaten path and you basically will not find it by chance unless you get very lost. There are a few walking paths that I recommend you take to see the great jungle scenery and especially the woodwork all over (be prepared to sweat a little).
The restaurant serves very good Thai food, and the woodwork (this may sound strange, but go visit the restrooms when you are there...I even took pictures) is very attractive. Massive wooden tables and chairs. Not to be missed!

Located in the rayong beach resort
The restaurant is part of the luxury hotel rayong resort. It is located in a very beautiful bay with crystal clear water. Interior is colonial style and has amazing views over a perfectly manicured garden and the bay. Ideal for an afternoon coffee. The food is nothing special, but quite expensive.

On a drive back from Koh Chang we stopped off at Tamnan PaResort, which means Forest Legend. I would highly recommend this place, and it is well worth the drive if you have e need to be in that area. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos, but this place is beautiful and excellent food. It has a huge carpark, obviously geared up for bus tours (which wasn't a good sign). Then we walked through a forest with stocked ponds and Waterfalls. Arriving at a very impressive rain forest canopy. So you are kind of sat outside, but with many fans and a huge cover to protect you from the elements. The menu is all Thai food, and surprisingly, for a mass catering place ( I think they can seat around 200 people) the food was some of the best Ive had in Thailand. Chicken with Cashew nuts, with plenty of crunchy water chestnuts, full of flavour and a huge portion. The Sweet and Sour Pork, a lovely gooey sauce with fresh pineapple and green and red peppers, fantastic. The pork filled Omelette was a bit of a let down, but more than compensated for by the tangy Pepper and Garlic Fried Pork. A beautiful setting and lovely meal at reasonable prices. The trip advisor link is below, and Im sure there is a few things for Kids to do, so maybe a great family day out.

Wong's is a very friendly place on the beach. Beachchairs, umbrellas and beds are free if you order drinks. There is a shower and a toilet.
The thai food in the restaurant is eatable, I have eaten a lot better. Carbonara was quite good.
Go to Wong's for the beach and the hospitality.

We had 3 dinners from Bee Happy and enjoyed all 3 very much. Mr. Happy arranged to pick us up at our place and also the transport back to our house.
They also do home Delivery.
The food is very tasteful and it's priced fair. We tried many different dishes and all of them tasted good.
The place is very much how Thailand looked like 20 years ago. Very old fashion and I actually like it.
I would very likely to recommend this place to give it a try.
The only reason for not give Mr. Happy 5 points. Is the WC. I understand that he want to keep everything as it original but sometimes somethings have to be improved in order to please all the customer.

It's worth a while to explore this area on the way to Samet. It's free of charge and has some attractions like jungle walk, artificial lake and animals on a display (caged unfortunately). It has decent restaurant on site as well.

We had breakfast in this coffee shop. It is in the middle of a street full of dry fish vendors. Entering this place was like going to another planet! Clean, new, classy, extremely well decorated. Clearly the owners know what they are doing when it comes to cakes, baking, coffee, smoothies. My mix berry smoothie was only 60 baht. I was really impressed!

Laemya Restaurant is located at the end of Mae Rumpheung Beach. The restaurant features tables & chairs plus loungers right on the beach. The food is very good & inexpensive. This end of the beach is calm, the water is clean, a perfect place to swim!

I am normally a toast, orange juice and coffee guy for breakfast. Much as I love Thai food, my metabolism isn't ready for the assaults of Thai food early in the morning.
But early today I set off with a Thai friend to explore some eastern-most parts of Rayong Province, when he declared he was hungry and wanted breakfast. I detoured and went down to Hor Mok Pa Jiu, where I have previously eaten many delicious lunches.
We had a plate of grilled small fish (they call it tuna, but it is not the tuna I know in Australia), some Hor Mok (which is spiced fish paste wrapped in banana leaves and barbecued), a north-eastern Thai noodle soup, and a plate of fresh and pickled vegetables.
I managed to eat my share, but in future I will revert to my mild, tame and bland toast and coffee. Thank you very much.
