We had just come from Haut Brion and wanted lunch. We ended up in the Town Center of Pessac. Very new place, with nice young people, but they made a few mistakes.I ordered the salad of eggs with Mayonnaise, they brought Sardines, They were quick to correct the mistake. After coming from tasting Haut Brion/La Mission we ordered some Vin de la Maison. It was somewhat mediocre when you consider what great Chateau are within 15 minutes from where you are. They had only been open about 10 days so have some issues. I hope they offer better wines, more thoughtfully chosen. The setting is quite nice and I am sure it will be better the next time I visit Bordeaux.

Frankly, the decor here is nothing to write home about.
It's very expensive too.
But you know what?
It's worth it.
The portions are HUGE.
The food is carefully prepared, and delicious.
The sashimi is excellent quality, as is the 'miso' soup... which is actually like a shrimp flavored Chinese soup.
Startling, but DELICIOUS (although rather salty).
The portions are so big that it's almost a turn-off, ironically.
The waitress made the whole experience. She smiles and laughs constantly, and is obviously SINCERE.
If she was a waitress in the US she would get 25% tips. She's charm personified.
Warning: they only take two 'tickets restos' per person, if you choose to go that route.
Also: 5€ per beer is too much, but they are forgiven, because it's impossible to leave this place without a full stomach and a smile on your face.
A winner.

Vietnamese cuisine is in fine form in Pessac as France’s colonization of Indochina continues to pay dividends no longer from slave labour or crippling taxes but thru south-east Asian flavours, spices & that red Asian gold that is chilli. Offering something different, the Saigon-inspired menu includes Vietnamese staple dishes presented with a slight modern twist from a place far far away.
Inside is an interesting mess of Asiatique nic-nacs, photos, paintings & postcards, a chaotic sight with a subtle south-east Asian vibe, I liked this family restaurant as soon as I stepped in. Hidden away, far off the tourist trail amongst a suburban neighbourhood, the Binh Duong Restaurant has survived for over 10 years giving the restaurant some good credibility. The chef seemed to know many of his customers & was generous with his time with us recalling interesting tales about his experiences & charming us with his good nature. He even shouted us a free Vietnamese beer, an imported 333 from Saigon to ‘share good times’ as we say in Vietnamese.
Strangely missing from this restaurant’s Vietnamese menu is the essential Pho noodle soup & Vietnamese filtered coffee but the buzz from the imported Vietnamese beer somewhat makes up for it, hi five.
The chef’s wife & sister run the kitchen giving the food an authentic home-style flavour, that woman’s touch only mothers know how to do with the chef putting in the finishing touches. One of the best things was it wasn’t expensive here unlike those tourist restaurants so there’s definitely room to try something exotic. On-site parking was limited but we found plenty of space within 20 metres on Rue du Bearn so it wasn’t an issue. The chef’s assistant speaks English & I was able to pay via credit card without any surcharge. We visited Pessac during a mid-week lunch service & didn’t book ahead although in future I would probably pre-book just in case. Stumbling upon the Binh Duong restaurant outside Bordeaux made for a delicious memory. Regards to the chefs!

Wow, I was taken there by a local Wine industry GM. Sensational local restaurant with the ambiance of a local bistro and the food of a 3 star Michelin that is now serving traditional food at reasonable prices in a family bistro atmosphere. A restaurant type I love in France, traditional food done very well served in a family bistro atmosphere to the locals. Stunning food I will definitely will go back. its only 15 min from Bordeaux centre and near Haut Brion. Easy to park and worth a visit.

this restaurant is nice,in garden place, good food and quiet familly place. you are able to eat, like us, with a group, nothing extraordinary but if you are not far, it is a good place. French standart sud ouest food, swiming pool with table around, i like it.

I have eaten at many top-notched and starred restaurants across the US and Europe but this by far is my favorite. It is an experience from when you arrive to when you leave. The service is excellent - friendly, professional, and talented in how the present the food. They are also very helpful - they even provided a wine pairing for each of the cheese we choice for the cheese course. And the food - the food was out of this world. And it was "precious" like a lot of the starred restaurants. I would go here again!

We are not Chinese food experts but the food was pretty good. Decent size portions and reasonably prized. Excellent, friendly service and a nice atmosphere.
Both the porc au caramel and poulet l'ananas were quite good and the cantonese rice very tasty. Would go there again.

The food was delicious. I had a ravioli - mushroom and foie gras - their burger of the day and also a dessert that was amazing. Each were wonderful. Very reasonably priced. Good assortment of wines. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly, but she was the only one serving the floor and they were packed, so I waited almost 20 minutes at my table before having my drink order taken. That aside, I’d love to go back.

So tasty food!!! Great service: I arrived at the last moment before the closure, impolite of me. Nevertheless, I've gotten the 1st class service. The food was very tasty a generously served. Will definitely come back on my business and private trips. Warmly recommended!
