The burgers are their specialty. They come in three sizes and the smallest, whimpie, is a normal size for any other restaurant. Enjoy the bar for your meal if all the tables are taken...that's where all the action is. Good weather seating on the balcony is also entertaining.

The ice creams are very good. Large selection. Lots of cone varieties for your ice cream. Booths to sit in if you choose.

The Village Grounds Coffeehouse is Pentwater's only full service coffee house serving all you favorite espresso based drinks-hot,iced and blended. We also have the largest selection of organic loose leaf teas in the area to sip hot or iced. The Village Grounds is a "latte" more than just great coffee. We bake all our own baked goods, from scratch, on site and we offer a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. We are a seasonal business open Memorial day through Labor day and weekends in the fall.
We always looked forward to the big cinnamon rolls but were told they were too difficult to make. They were wonderful and we would even drive around Pentwater Lake to buy 10 or more! The coffee is okay and the other rolls didn't really look homemade so we didn't go in after the first day. Pentwater could really use a local bakery!

This place may not be for everybody but give it a try. There is a great park across the street. Get it to go and eat at a picnic table overlooking Lake Michigan. Perfect for a summer afternoon lunch!

Had a really terrific meal on a Sunday night. Restaurant was full but we didn't wait very long. Cheesy garlic bread is much bigger than anticipated so we had a lot of leftovers. Waiter was average but the bartender was fantastic. I highly recommend the margarita!

Small town bar with Mexican American food like we would prepare at home. We ordered a starter plate of nachos and followed up with a shredded beef burrito. Food was good and servings were generous. We split both the menu items, and still had more food than we could eat. Also split a pitcher of Alaskan amber ale. Good food and beverage in a vintage interior

This local bakery really exceeded our guests expectations with their p[re-ordered 4 layer German Chocolate Cake which was ordered for my husband's birthday party. Though there were some avowed non-dessert eaters in the crowd, because the cake was so beautiful, everyone had a piece and sadly the entire cake was gone before I could even take a photo of it! Lots of other bakery goods available so don't plan on counting calories before you step into their space.

This review is accurate and not embellished. We went there on Saturday (party of 5) and had a reservation.
The service was the worst I have had at a restaurant in at least 10 years. To start with, it took over 60 minutes to get our food. Even though we were told at the 30 minute mark that our "food would be right up". The waitress showed no empathy for our table. She never explained the delays, had to be flagged down to refill water, had to be reminded twice for a tartar sauce request, and never apologized for the service.
We looked for the hostess to complain, but she was no where to be found. The surprising part was at one point, the place was about 80% full and hardly anyone had food.
This was my third time at Big Heart and probably my last. The service has usually been on the slow slide, but never this painful.

This restaurant was very nice and it had a great patio where we could sit outside on a beautiful day. We started with the deep fried asparagus appetizer that was absolutely delicious. Then I got the southwest chicken wrap and it came with potato chips or you could upgrade to waffle fries or sweet potato fries. My friend got The shrimp wrap which was the special of the day. He didn't want the french fries that came with it so they offered him soup, salad or any of the other options. He chose the soup and they had a seafood chowder that he said was delicious.

An Amazing location for your family & friends to enjoy a wonderful meal!
This is a cute restaurant on a golf course. We were warmly greeted as we walked from our car to the entrance. There are several children's games to enjoy while you wait for your food and the indoor/outdoor eating space is really enjoyable (weather permitting).
The bar is incredibly low for great food choices in this part of the state. Here, they have pizza, salads, and the like. We ordered a salad, pizza, chicken and mac n cheese. Usually I'm the food critic in my family, but my husband and daughter were both incredibly disappointed with our meals.
I wouldn't recommend unless you're just looking for a nice place to enjoy a drink. We have no plans to return.
