They have a great selection of Dutch baked goods and American baked items. There was not a huge line today. Their hours have been 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. but they stay open till 8 on Thursday and are closed on Sunday. They also have a nice selection of Dutch imported gifts and local tourist information about the history of Pella Iowa. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my needs.

I've had several meals here. As far as appetizers, I highly recommend the saganaki (cooked cheese with pita wedges, comes aflame and you yell OPA!). The penne a la toscana is fabulous if you like pasta with a creamy sauce, chicken, and prosciutto. My latest find is the Athenian Style Chicken; served with pasta, it has a flavorful red sauce (garlic butter wine sauce), peppers, and feta. Delicious! My husband has two go-to meals - the Hot Mama Mia and the Italian Meat Pasta. They are both hot and melty, and have a little bit of a spicy kick. Although this restaurant does have a children's menu, and I have seen children there, I will admit that when there are noisy young'uns it is a bit annoying, probably because of the size of the rooms. I will add that I tend to enjoy eating in the dining area rather than the bar. Bottom line - one of Pella's best restaurants. Honestly, I haven't eaten anything I didn't like at Kaldera. Atmosphere is wonderful, servers are great.

This quaint but busy coffee shop has more than coffee, tea, lattes, chai, old fashioned sodas, etc! I often go there for Chicken Pot Pie, which is actually delicious creamed chicken with veggies over biscuits! They have a variety of baked sweets such as scones, brownies, rice crispy bars, muffins, pie, cheesecakes, etc. Their variety of old fashioned style icecream counter lets you order many favorites. You can order sandwiches, and delicious Cheeseburger Chowder served in a warm home made BreadBowl! You can get your order to go too. They have wifi also.

This bakery is smaller of the two in town. They have less variety but there are three things in my opinion which are the best.
Their Dutch letter have the best dough surrounding the almond filling.
The hamburger buns are also very good. Get a ring of Pella Bologna, warm it up and have a great sandwich with these buns.
Their white walnut cookies are also delicious.

Stopped here just for a couple of coffees to go , on our way out of town. Very good selection of coffees, all hot and fresh!
They also offer sandwiches and wraps for lunch. Restaurant was very busy, a good sign of satisfied customers.
We had already eaten lunch, but we will try the Brew House the next time we are in Pella.

This is a destination pub! Great service and world famous Bloody Mary(food network rated). The atmosphere is chill and has a patio area out back with a small garden of tomatoes and hops growing. Order a pizza from across the street at George’s and they will deliver right to your seat. Have the pub tender pair the right craft beer for your order. Enjoy a flight and taste a variety of craft beers or ciders.

This was recommended to us by the motel clerk. Easy to find, right on the main street. It appeared very busy inside with pizza orders, but we sat at one of the 5 outside tables. Prompt service. Salad was only lettuce. Pastas were good. Prices were reasonable. A lot of people seemed to enjoy their ice cream cones.

Pella Dairy Queen is a very nice family place. They work to give you good service as well as quality food. Just found out that they are going to build a new establishment so they can handle more people and do even a better job of taking care of their customers.

We invaded this small cafe in downtown Pella with a crowd and they were gracious and efficient in accommodating us. The breakfast buffet was a hit with all ages. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was pretty standard fare for a cafe in Iowa- you won't see a lot of innovation, but the portions are generous and the good is tasty. It also seems to be fairly popular because the restaurant was full while we were there on a Sunday morning. A most appropriate choice for a good basic meal while you are in Pella.

Very customer friendly and wonderful selection of meats and cheese. Very good selection of jerky. Samples were offered to help with selection.
