I imagine rarest of readers will be someone who understands English but not Portuguese. Possibly 100% of foreigners who arrive in Patos either read and speak Portuguese or are with Brazilians. Nevertheless, this international quality eatery merits a global review.
Right off I will say this place is not perfect in all it does - for example, the shrimp risotto had too much tomato sauce and just was OK. But all else we ordered during 2 lunches at this remodeled restaurant was excellent.
Though in general the prices at this place are high for the locals and there are some items at Brasília values, we found that the lunch option during the week - including a small salad for appetizer (both options were tasty), a very nice quantity entree - in my case tasty mini lamb burgers with canoe potatoes and in my wife's case a delicious slice of pork steak with traditional Brazilian side of rice and beans - and tastiest of expressos with home made chocolate truffles. All for R$ 28.
The juice options yummy, too, and there's this frappé which competes with some of best coffeshops anywhere.
Special praise to the young man who was basically alone serving (there were few guests at the time we went) - Adriano I think is his name. Very present, without being too invasive.

Estive hoje com minha familia no Cacau Show localizado no Patio Central Shopping.

Comida bem mineira, bem variada e bem servida. Simpatia por parte dos funcionários e proprietários. Diferente e cativante.

We just finished great lunch at this restaurant. The food is delicious with many varieties of dishes to choose from. If you wish you can upgrade your self service, eat as much as you can buffet to rodízio. Waiters are attending your table with many kinds of meat as well as grilled mozzarella cheese. Prices are very reasonable, self service option about RS 24 and rodízio
RS 42. To sweeten up your meal you can get traditional variety of Brazilian puddings (inc in price) coconut pudding was the best for me. Great ambience, with cocoa tree growing in the middle and little pond full of fish.

In my opinion the best meat in town! Very good buffet of high quality and prime meat served. Normally I'm not to keen on feijao; but here I had seconds. Very clean and pleasant environment and friendly staff. Parking up front, which is also convenient. From now on my favourite churascaria when in Patos de Minas.

Pamonhas are classic Brazilian snacks or meals made from corn (similar to tamales but better) and can be either sweet or savory. I tend to like pamonhas with queijo (cheese) and pork, but whatever you select be sure to have your pamonhas with corn juice, which tastes more like sweet corn milk. But no matter where you are from, if you are near Patos de Minas, be sure to go a bit out of your way to Aquinaldo das Pamonhas. I stop every time I drive by and I've been there 4 or 5 times already. It's a simple spot but if you are in the area, it'll be worth the stop!
