We’re from Texas, so we have very high standards for Mexican food. The salsa was excellent. The nacho chips were a little thicker than I prefer. We’re also not used to having to pay for chips and salsa in Texas since restaurants provide them free.
I had the carne asada which was quite tasty, but I didn’t care for the rice with the corn that they added. I also prefer Charro beans to black beans.

We ate breakfast once and dinner three times at The Islander.
The food was very good. The servers were all very helpful and friendly. The prices were comparable to prices in the area.
We did have trouble with the way they check in people with reservations vs ones without. It’s very very unorganized!!
We had to return our flatware twice at one meal due to dirty knives.
I didn’t take pictures of all our meals but here are a few. It would be nice if they had a couple more heaters on the patio when it’s cool out in the evening.

We call it the “collective kitchen.” For the menus of 3800 Ocean are inspired not only by the local abundance of South Florida’s renowned crops that thrive under a hospitable climate, but by the regional flavors that stir the souls of our collaborative team of chefs. Each chef brings a new insight to the table: the comfort food favorites of New England; the fire and spice of Mexico; the Caribbean traditions of Jamaica; and the ageless classics of Long Island. Our own local abundance of fresh produce and seafood allows us to take the collective kitchen dining concept quite literally. Everything is made from scratch. Every taste evokes an emotional connection to a past culinary memory, or perhaps a future craving.
We stayed at the Marriott, where this restaurant is located. Others' reviews made us a bit leery, so we skipped dinner, but enjoyed cocktails and apps at the bar, and no fewer than three outstanding breakfasts out on the lanai.
Cocktails can be pricey; i.e. $22 for an Old Fashioned. But, I will admit, the bartender was cheerful and knew his craft, the Rye was top-shelf, and they use lots of fresh herbs and fruits for the beverages. We enjoyed Caesar Salads, Shrimp Tacos, and house white wine for dinner. All excellent.
Food and service for breakfast was terrific. The waitresses are so friendly and knowledgeable. Every item we ordered was outstanding. Juice fresh-squeezed, coffee tasty and hot, and the entrees just perfect. Blueberry pancakes, Huevos Rancheros, fruit platters, biscuits and gravy...it's all good here. We avoided the buffet altogether.
Sincerely recommended for breakfast and evening cocktails; you're on your own for lunch and dinner.

We were extremely surprised at the selection! So many different items to choose from. The appetizers were just scrumptious, main courses were large and delicious and the desserts were wonderful. I would say that Angel our server made the experience one to remember. He was extremely helpful to us when making our choices.

After lunch and a walk on the beach my wife and I stopped by for some ice cream. The owner was chatty and friendly. Besides an ice cream shop it's also a boutique and coffee shop. The ice cream was good especially after being in the hot sun.

We were diving close by on Singer Island and luckily happened in for brunch. Service was great, atmosphere welcoming, and everyone loved their food and bevies. We were diving later that day so I passed on the tasty looking (and sounding) alcoholic accompaniments and stayed with the delicious basil lemonade. We ate on the lighter side, and everything was enjoyable and well prepared. As an example of the care each dish is given was that the cheese grits were a super meal all on their own.
We were delighted to have Beethoven (one of the owners) stop by the table and chat for a bit. He takes proper pride in the business he has built in a very short while. We'll certainly be stopping by the next time we're in town.

Where I’m from (and I cannot imagine many places in the US), the Peruvian/Sushi combination is not a common theme for restaurants. I loved the fried yucca with traditional huancaina sauce. Equally wonderful was the sushi. The rolls were a tad pricey, but not over the top. The service was great, and I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. This is a place you could easily drive past, but you shouldn’t!

Start your day with breakfast in the comfortable elegance of The Circle, home of The Breakers celebrated Sunday Brunch. Choose from an extensive buffet of hot and cold selections or order from the appetizing a la carte menu.
We recently visited the stunning Breakers for brunch in the Circle room. From ambiance, service, the food... there is no other place like this to visit. The room is nostalgic if a bygone period, its luxurious yet not stuffy. And the food...lobster galore, succulent oysters, crab claws, fantastic sushi & everything that a carnivore would like as well. Everything is absolute perfection every single visit. This still remains my favorite brunch year after year.

Wanted to have dinner here, but they couldn't care less if we stayed or not. I would highly recommend coming here for lunch and not dinner. They are completely understaffed or untrained to handle the dinner crowd. We were strolling outside on the landing and there were 5 tables with nobody sitting at them, so we sat down to have some drinks and appetizers and consider having dinner. We were there for 10 minutes before a server appeared and asked us if we had a reservation. (no signs anywhere on the wharf to "see the server" by the way) We said no, and he rudely said "you can't sit here" and walks off. No direction whatsoever. So we start wandering into the restaurant and head to a door we see by the bar, but nobody there. We try to get a bartenders attention, but 10 minutes later gave up on that and decided to leave, since after 20 minutes we didn't even have our name in yet. Then I went to use the ladies room and I see the check-in desk over in a far end of the dining room away from the other doors, close to a walk that heads to other shops. I ask how long the wait and they say an hour and I'm looking at 12 empty tables, 4 outside and 8 inside. Strange - not well-managed obviously. So, we leave - not even a drink (couldn't get a bartenders attention).
