We've been here several times in the past and really enjoyed the place. Could not believe the attitude of the staff this time. It was not busy but we waited and waited and waited at the counter to be served while someone cut cake on a bench beside the till and an older woman did something with the coffee machine right beside us. It does not take much to say, "Be with you in a moment". Customers don't like to be totally ignored for 5 minutes! And yes, they had seen us. The younger girl who brought our food to us couldn't dredge up a smile or friendly comment. We noticed it was the same when she took food to the other tables. We'll leave it a couple of years before we bother to come back.

We always seek out coffee places that are out of the ordinary and The Refinery fits the bill. Located in an old gold refinery it has loads of atmosphere and interest. Best feature is the large collection of vinyl records and a player. The ultimate jukebox! The food is pretty good too! Definitely a visit that will linger long in the memory.

Great food, good selection. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the banana nut loaf. Nice to sit out in the courtyard. A gem in the middle of town.

I've driven past this restaurant many times in the past year, but never tried it. A friend and I had dinner there, and it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is smartly furnished and clean, Not very busy (Wednesday night) and service was good. Entrees were OK, I had the chicken kebabs with satay sauce, the chicken was good but the sauce smothered the chicken. My friend had one of the soups, don't know the name, and said it was the best soup she had had. I will have to try it next time. I had sweet and sour pork, and it was nice, a good amount. Will definitely go back there, as want to try some of the other dishes.

Having landed at Auckland. Picked up the Trailblazer and shipped out on our Road Trip, starting with a drive to Mount Maunganui. Pausing to recapure an old pick in front of the L&P bottle and a well needed munch at One3One. Super massive portions. Seriously. Mapadermic. The kids burger was supermassive... great coffee too. Couldn't eat it all, waitresses were aewsome helpful and friendly. Good start..

Certainly, still "Something Special" after all these years... (Eleven, I believe..?) Friendly, family-run restaurant serving consistently top quality Indian Fare. We certainly never miss to pay a visit whenever we are passing through which sadly is not often enough..!Thankyou

The Paeroa Restaurant & Cafe is a locally owned family restaurant. With a vast menu ranging from A la Carte to Stonegrill, there is something for everyone. We take bookings and walk in's. We look forward to seeing you soon at the restaurant.
A typical good value pub meal. We had the stone grill which was really good. This was followed by their unique version of creme Brule which was excellent and very memorable. Service was friendly. Wine selection quite basic but very good and reasonably priced.

If you are a pancake lover, like me, then go here. Big and airfoil led pancakes with nice ice cream to and even a free extra scoop was given, because I wanted to taste the flavour.. Great service!!
