Booked as part of Britanny Ferries Gourmet Cruise promotion and lived up to its billing! My wife and I had an excellent dinner here last week to round off an interesting afternoon exploring Sword beach and the Atlantic bunker museum. The staff made us really welcome and the food was Michelin standard cuisine - truly a gourmet experience. The patron even offered us a lift back to the ferry port to meet the Britanny Ferries departure back to Portsmouth - what a nice touch, but not necessary because this is only a pleasant short stroll back anyway. The Table d'Hotes thoroughly deserves its rave reviews...what more can we say?

We stayed at the adjacent hotel, and booked into the restaurant for convenience. What a find! Very, very nice food, in a pleasant setting served by friendly and helpful staff.
The fish dishes are as good as those I have tried at Michelin starred restaurants in the uk. The dishes are well presented and superbly cooked. My wife had the scallop starter which was truly sublime!
Decent choice of wine, and a nice bar at the hotel. We visited midweek in April, and the restaurant was full with locals, which is always a good sign!

A pit stop before our ferry in this restaurant which is situated in a quiet village with ample parking. The attentive staff brought us nibbles with our aperitifs which we enjoyed outside in the summer sun.
The menu offers a small a la carte option which is priced such that one of the set menus is the only choice. We found it quite difficult to choose from them all but opted for the 44E menu.
The Warm Fois Gras stuffed with duck was served with carrot and cumin and salad was very nice and this was followed by an Asian Fish broth which I loved but my wife less so. The main course was Turbot served on a butter sauce with a hint of salted caramel, which I loved. The dessert was a deconstructed Tart Tatin, the apples served on a home made shortbread with salted caramel ice cream.
The Kids menu was a delight as there were no chips! Our daughter enjoyed her Fois Gras and demolished her steak and mashed potato which she said was better than mums (high praise) before her caramel and chocolate ice cream.
Two Coffees, some water and a bottle of plonk (58E) and the bill came in at 192E
Overall we would happily revisit.

As a vegetarian travelling in France I am always apprehensive when my companions suggest eating out. This restaurant had three vegetarian dishes, the Gallette Vegetarienne was excellent and very filling. Desert also good and reasonably priced. I am informed by my friends that the Moules Frites were also good. Combined with good service and décor, well recommended.

Found this restaurant through Trip Advisor. Not bad but nothing special. Cheap plastic seats outside. All a bit underwhelming really.

I’d eaten here several times a few years back. It was always surprisingly good if somewhat chaotic. I returned to find the old owner had gone over a year ago and in the meantime another owner had refurbished the place but then left. It’s now...MoreThank you for this comment. You forget your skarf in here, we keep it for when you ll come back in Normandy. See you soon.

I do like this restaurant. It is professional, reasonably priced and has an excellent menu. The owners are friendly and speak good English so you don't have to work too hard in either direction. Do go - it's well worth it.

We stayed in Lion s/Mer and was recommended to try this local restaurant for dinner. You should make Reservations!
Service was great! Had an apple-type drink first, then I had a 3 course meal and my husband had 4. All courses were great but especially the mussels and skate wing! The prices were reasonable at approx $70 USD for the entire meal!
I would have returned if we stayed longer.

i have seen this place many times when walking along Sword Beach but this time we popped in for a Saturday lunch. The place was full. We got a table but others were later turned away. There were only two waiters and they were worked off their feet literally running at times.
My wife had mussels and chips which she enjoyed. I had a seafood casserole which was good but I was pleased I could steal some of my wife's chips as it wasn't huge.
All in all a good place and clearly popular with locals but do employ an extra waiter!

We arrived a little early, but were welcomed in and taken to our table. No waiting to order an apperitive. The restaurant has been recently upgraded, so the decor and furniture is now light, attractive and stylish.
I had a cheaper menu and two fish courses, both tasty and well presented. My companion had the next menu, as he likes the andouiette, which is not often available. We both throughly enjoyed our food. We felt satisfied, without being given huge portions. Service was attentive and slick, which was good when we had a ferry to catch.
We are looking forward to coming again, next time we are coming to Caen.
