As I was visiting friends in the Ottawa area recently, I happened in to this coffee shop to see if they could make a decaf espresso! to my delight, it was no problem for them, and they even added just the right amount of chocolate to make it a mochaspresso!
I visited 3 times in the weekend!

The selection here is amazing. We loaded up on treats - scones, oatmeal pies made like Little Debbie's with filling sandwiched between two oatmeal cookies, pecan sticky buns, macaroons, and more. Most of their business is carry-out so there is very little seating, like 3 tables.

We made dinner reservations at Lone Buffalo when wanting to check out Ottawa & eat here during our winter visit to Starved Rock. Due to an incoming snow storm we had to move our dinner earlier than we had planned. The location, parking and decor were all great as we ventured into the restaurant. Kendra as our server was friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. My husband had a glass of wine and we split the margarita flatbread, which was well seasoned. We went for healthy options. My husband enjoyed his ancient grains salad with small shrimp, while I really loved the kale salad with salmon. Since it was an early & rushed dinner with the snowstorm, we plan to return on our next trip to Starved Rock & Ottawa to try the beers and entrees. Looking forward to that in the future.
Definitely recommend.

Great spot in downtown Ottawa, about a block off the main drag. Very modern and hip. Seated right away despite the crowd.
The menu is quite unusual, so you have to be prepared. BASH = Burger and Sushi House. Great appetizers, but could have been a bit bigger. Sushi on the expensive side... we all enjoyed our meals.
Sushi selection good, but the rest of the menu is a bit limited. Nevertheless, love it!

Family Restaurant, Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner
We came over here for a Sunday lunch between the breakfast and lunch rushes so we sat down immediately. Our server was friendly and professional. We were delighted to find that there are still places that offer soup with the sandwich. We ordered the pork tenderloin hot sandwich, which was perfectly seasoned with a nice peppery gravy, and the reuben, which had chunky and tasty corned beef. Both of our soups were good as well. We had a nice experience and found the prices extremely reasonable. We will definitely eat here again.

They don't seem to have a website when I tried "googling" them. Our waitress said that they've been there for 2-1/2 years, though.
We met friends here for our first visit. We were very pleased with the food: salmon specials and chicken pear salads. We had a blue cheese guacamole appetizer, which was great. They had a wide selection of speciality drinks. Prices were reasonable. Our only complaint was that is very noisy. They have high open ceilings which combine with tables that are close to each other, making it almost impossible to carry on a conversation.

Have you seen the show Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey? This place would be the perfect place for Gordon to make over. Very nice facility, cute atmosphere, cute shops but it ends about there. When greeted at the front door, we were asked by an elderly couple (I'm assuming the owners) if we had reservations. We did not. They appeared annoyed and said "reservations are HIGHLY recommended". The restaurant was about 1/2 full. We were seated right away. The menu had a wide variety. The prices were high. The menu boasted a "farm fresh salad bar". That consisted of salad from a bag, bottled dressing and pre made salads (pea, pasta, mushroom) from a container. No vegetables. The bread was delicious and appeared to be homemade. No sweet tea on the menu. I would think that would be an option going with the barn theme. My daughter ordered shrimp off of the kids menu, I ordered shrimp off of the regular menu and my husband got the October special of brat, brisket & pork chops. My daughter received 2 small fried shrimp & fries. I had six fried shrimp and baked potato. These were frozen from a box and baked. I buy the same thing at my local grocery store. My husband's pork chops were small and very thin and tasted like grease. The brisket was very bland, no seasoning, no sauce. The brat was just that, nothing fancy. Our waitress was much friendlier than our greaters. The table next to us had a plate of pasta that looked like a whole box of noodles on the plate with horrible mounds of melted cheese on top. The whole mound was stuck together and picked up with a fork. Potential here but the menu needs a big revamp. No fresh food. Won't be visiting again. I would recommend looking at other local restaurants for a better experience.

Tapas, Small Bites, Pan Asian, Burgers, Steaks, Pasta and International Cuisine. Casual Dining. A Bite for every taste!
We went there for Mother's Day and I felt so guilty when the bill came of $300.00. The food was good but overpriced for the portions you get.

Loved their pizza... Ordered a large split toppings pizza to share. And a some cold beers. Server brought drinks promptly to our table with plates and napkins. When the pizza came offered hot pizza sauce or red peppers flakes. I choice the sauce..excellent! Was offered a bag to take home left overs...but there wasn't any. Cute old fashioned booth to sit in.

Unique items outside (antique milk separator planters, flowers in an old coffee maker, etc) and so many things to see inside. Great selection of cheeses, deli meats, condiments, etc.... I had the lunch special of the day--meatloaf was pretty good, yummy green beans , mashed potatoes. Salad was fair. But, my husband's made to order rib eye sandwich with mushrooms, cheese was awesome. Very patient & friendly staff--took us awhile to decide what to order for lunch. Bought delicious homemade Rice Krispie square for later.
