Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the population was 13,668 at the 2011 census. I dont know what it is exactly about this place but it has a feel good ambiance and we love going there. We have been several times and enjoyed it every time and last night was no exception. The recently shot game was one the menu so we had some of thats and it was awesome.
I loved the seafood starter sharer that appeared on the menu it was fun, great idea. It does seem to me that they make the effort to try new things you wont find at other resturants in the area. No we are never disappointed, the manager is very passionate about wines if you ask him. The staff are young and i would guess many their first jobs, so it must be good for community as well. Now it was about £35 each with wine and enjoyable night definitely worth it.

We've visited Westbourne Spice at the old Westbourne pub a number of times. It is really convenient, has plenty of parking, the staff and welcoming and friendly and the food is always good. There's nothing to fault.
Go the whole hog and get a pint, poppadums and pickle tray. The mixed kebab starter is gorgeous, crispy soft centred onion bhaji, and very distinctly differently flavoured shami and sheekh kebabs - it's almost a meal in itself.
There are a huge variety of curries from the traditional bhunas to lesser known combinations. I've dined broadly from the menu and everything has been good. We almost always end up taking a doggy bag home as well.

Fish and Chip Shop with restaurant
Went with my grandson to get a takeaway but he asked if we could eat in the restaurant. Traditional fish & chips shop. Friendly staff, happy to converse with my grandson (a curious 4 year old with lots of questions) I had fish & chips (generous portion) with tea, bread & butter. Childs meal was nearly as big! (fish, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter, a glass of milk & a scoop of ice-cream to finish). All freshly cooked and very tasty. Reasonable prices.

Riverside lounge and Italian restaurant serving authentic Italian food and drink in a beautiful riverside setting on the banks of the River Wharfe in Otley.
Staying with some friends on the side of the Side of the Chevin and they recommended Buon Apps. Our friend that came with us were thoroughly impressed. We ere all so delighted with the extensive menu and we came away with the same thoughts " we must cone back" Most probably the best Italian meal we have eaten in the Uk.

Authentic Thai Fine Dining with friendly price and atmosphere
Frankly, what's not to like?
The food is excellent and comes in satisfying portions. The service is top-notch and very friendly. The restaurant isn't licensed; however, you can bring your own alcohol (Bargain Booze is a mere 150 metres away in Kirkgate) and no corkage is charged. The bill can only be paid in cash; again, not a problem as there are five cashpoints (soon, sadly, to be three) within a 150-metre radius.
If you are living in Otley or only visiting and like South-East Asian cuisine, this is THE place to visit.

A traditional Yorkshire Pub serving honest Yorkshire Fayre, Cask Ales,Continental Beers and fine wines with views over the Wharfe Valley
It was our first visit and we walked up the 16% hill to get there. It was definitely worth it. Slightly late for lunch (past 2pm) we received a warm welcome and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. We both had the light lunch option and it was freshly cooked to order. Everyone made us feel welcome and we will definitely be back. The main restaurant is lovely and has amazing views. In the warmer months, the dining Terrace will be very popular.

We are located very close to the town centre, also we have two entrances , the one in the courtyard is for the wheel chair access.
Just the name of this cafe always puts a smile on my face, and I have been an occasional visitor for some years. Being Vegan, I usually just have baked beans and chips, but it's always nicely cooked, generous in size, and good value. Service is always excellent, a very nice bunch of people behind the counter. It deserves to be popular.

We'd love you to stop for a drink and a bite to eat, and take inthe beautiful North Yorkshire scenery. Walkers, cyclists and dogs welcome. Home made cakes, soup and afternoon tea in a stunning rural and welcoming environment.
Called here for morning coffee after driving past on a previous occasion. What a gem! A tea room just how it should be. Lovely friendly service and warm atmosphere with small clusters of folks enjoying a leisurely drink with friends to passing walkers with their dog. All welcome here. A lovely grassed garden area outside for sunny weather too. The owners provide locks for your bike should you be cycling by and wanting to eat inside. A box of dog treats quickly produced for the four legged friends. Quality home made food on offer and the best scone I have eaten in a long while. We will return I have no doubt for a spot of lunch and a taste of the homemade cakes.

I was in here to celebrate an event and I ended up paying 60+ pounds for 2 meals and 2 glasses of wine. I feel that is well too expensive and the food wasn't that amazing. They pretend to speak Italian which is tacky. I guess you have to visit to get a feel about the place. Oh, and the decor, just no.
