Went here for my cousins wedding, lovely spot for a wedding. The meal afterwards was great, beautifully presented and good portion sizes. On the down side, don't wear high heels as the area has a lot of grass and the cobblestone areas are very uneven. Although the wait staff were absolutely lovely there weren't enough to be waiting on such a large group of people.

We went to Red’s as a party of 6 including 2 young kids. Despite being quite a peak time, we found a table.
The table was clean and clear of dishes.
One of the meals we had was the seared lamb and roast vegetables. The lamb was good and a generous selection of vegetables. It also came with potato roasties which I guess could be classified as vegetables.
Service was pretty fast given how busy it was.

My siblings and I took Mum for her birthday and could not fault the service, food or atmosphere. Absolutely stunning.
The chilli garlic prawns were fresh and so tasty. Mains amongst the group covered the entire menu practically and every meal was delicious and without fault.
Well done team on a very memorable evening for us all.

The coffee was really good, nice and hot but the service was very slow. Cafe wasn’t that busy for 11 am on a Saturday but seem to take ages to get the coffee to us. Can’t comment on the food as only dabbled in coffee today.

I've had coffee here once before. It's always busy and for good reason, quality food and coffee. I think they make all the counter food on site. The place has character with various rooms inside and out with nice garden settings outside.
Friendly staff and we'll timed service.
Started with a shared Spinache and Artichoke dip. Yum.
Both on a low carbs and low sugar push so opted for salads. Wife had Salmon Salad. She wondered if the salmon was from a can. We didn't ask; it tasted all right.
I had the Haloumi Salad. Very tasty although I thought the Haloumi needed a bit more cooking.
A glass of wine each as well to wash it down. Both had the cheesecake and it was yum.
I think this place is super.

It's a great option for food on the SH1 side of Otaki. Result is that it is always busy and several times we've dropped in to find no tables and several people sat alone at tables for four, which takes up table space. Cakes are great and service good. Hot chocolates are always tepid, so I've given up on them there.

I have visited this place a number of times over the years and obviously rated it highly in the past. Unfortunately most recent experience let it down very badly indeed. The food was overpriced, overcooked haloumi, overcooked foccaccia which was almost inedible, tiny portion of 'green' salad inexplicably contained raw beetroot... I ate it because we had been stuck in traffic for an hour and I was very hungry otherwise it would have gone back to the kitchen. Worst meal I've had in a very long time.

We popped in for brunch - pity the weather wasn't more inviting or we would have sat out in the fabulous outdoor setting. The have the usual breakfast and brunch options, all sounded and looked delicious. They have a lot of organic options on the menu, including their own apple juice and ciders. The service was excellent, and food delicious. Recommended if this is what you are looking for :).

Starts with warm and friendly service. Lovely warming food. The shepherd's pie was hot and delicious but the plum tart was just too awesome. Light flaky pastry, creamy custard and a black doris plum. Heavenly.
Great place to stop. Not a lot of parking but heaps on the street. A must go place.
