Light French Cuisine
A must for French food. Excellent service and food. Good wine list. Pleasant ambiance and noise level is good for conversation. Don't miss the soufflé for dessert.

We made a reservation for four of us today, January 1st, for lunch. You would of thought we would have been told that we could not order off the menu and there was only a brunch buffet offered, but that was not the case. When we got there we decided to do the $29.00 buffet. Finding a welcoming person who worked there was an impossiblilty. It took forever to get a cup of coffee both after we sat down and throughout our whole stay. It got so bad that all the tables had designated a person to walk up to the serving table and pour their own coffee which was actually cool since it was just sitting out in metal containers. What else we found was that they had 2 senior citizens group functions in another part of the restaurant who, rather than getting their own buffet, they too used the same buffet as everyone else in one small room. Can you imagine the madness of 40 plus seniors with canes, walkers, and motorized jazzies, all getting up for food at once! Can you believe they had only one food carver and one omelet maker for 50 plus patrons!!!! The food was cold, picked through, or nonexistent. After reading the comments below I see this is the norm and none of us will be returning - EVER!

We arrived at 4:53 for a 5:00PM reservation. We were told (even though the door was open) they were closed and weren't opening for 7 minutes and to please wait outside. I think the look of surprise on my face made the woman finally say that we could wait at the bar. Really? Not off to a good start. The 4 of us were seated at the window which was lovely, but, unfortunately, the speakers were right there - LOUD!!! We were told that their speaker system was broken and were using this instead. Fine, but please lower it. They did, still right there in our face and they finally moved it more towards the outdoor seating area - everyone could here it just fine. Our waitress, Jennifer was nice and accommodating. For a bar, the chardonnay offerings amounted to 1 - it was cold and crisp and good, but would have loved to have a choice. The DVine Bar has a very limited menu and for 2 of us, nothing really appealed so the pizza was ordered and the smoked chicken. Ordered the bacon sliders, which I was told were ok and the roasted cauliflower for appetizers. The cauliflower was good but the parmesan crust was funky. We waited close to 30 minutes for the appetizers - we were starved. Finally asked for some bread. Of course, the apps came less than 5 minutes after the bread. We ordered the pizza of the day, lobsta roll, bison and smoked chicken. Again, waiting for the entrees seemed like forever. And they were not crowded. The chicken was delicious, but you were given 2 small pieces The mac and cheese was ok. We don't mind spending money for good food, but $30 for 2 small pieces of chicken was crazy. The bison was good as was the corn polenta but the corn tortilla was horrible. The pizza was soggy. Even though the ends were burnt, the whole bottom part of the pizza was soggy, probably because there was so many wet ingredients on it. The slice would just flop down and it was pretty awful. Even said something - no response. The lobsta roll - well, let's just say it's not really a lobsta roll. Very tiny pieces of lobster with mayo and a sauce that just drowned the poor sucker. Served on a soggy brioche bun. But their homemade potato chips are yummy. One and done. So many other great places in the area.

First time at Il Fresco, and am already looking forward to a return visit! Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and he was also extremely pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The veal saltimbocca was excellent, salad was fresh and crisp, bread was warm and right out of the oven—everything was just perfect. The tartuffo amaretto dessert was incredible! Highly recommend Il Fresco—the whole dinner was just terrific!

Formerly named Roman Cafe
Kudos to Dino for doing what all restaurants should do: the "specials" are in writing with prices and the prices are in line with the regular menu items. Restaurants that price the "specials as much as 25% higher than regular menu items tick me off. That being said: the food is consistently very good, portions ample, service thoroughly professional, ambiance pleasing, noise level tolerable.....all in all nothing not to like....even if they did neglect to bring us the complementary salad.
Expect the tab to approach $1125 with tax and tip.

14 & Hudson is a new kitchen and bar located in Piermont, NY, serving affordable "New American" bistro favorites accentuated with unique and flavorful twists. With an affinity for locally sourced ingredients, guests are treated to culinary creations that showcase the bounties of the Hudson Valley and Central New Jersey farms. At the helm of 14 & Hudson is Chef and Owner Eric Woods, a CIA graduate who draws from his considerable experience as Executive Chef in some of NYC's most popular restaurants to deliver inventive flavors produced from the freshest ingredients of the highest quality to his guests. In a perfect alignment of kismet, the restaurant's name was inspired by the serendipitous convergence of time, place, and - (yes) birth order! To wit: the restaurant, perched on the banks of the scenic Hudson River opened in 2014, and Eric is the youngest of no fewer than 14 siblings! The relaxed, inviting ambience of 14 & Hudson beckons diners to enjoy a laid-back meal, palate-pleasing appetizers, and refreshing cocktails and craft beers. Robert Hoene of Hoene Architects in Piermont designed the state of the art kitchen addition and outdoor deck. While Caitlin Burck of Piermont Design Group and Paula Clemente Woods reimagined the interior to include a long bar and 45-seat dining room fitted with warm woods, ambient lighting and comfortable seating that encourages guests to linger. The chic upstairs event space provides a perfect venue for a private event, and the outdoor deck with views of Piermont's charming rustic streets completes the picture during the warmer months. Drawing from the abundance of local artistic talent, the walls are adorned with artwork by Piermont locals. Award-winning singer Tom Chapin's evocative photographs of the Hudson Valley and surrounding region are featured, and Frances Wells' luminous paintings of banks of the Hudson River highlight the earthy tones of the second floor event space. 14 & Hudson is located at 457 Piermont Avenue, Piermont, NY, and will be open six days a week for happy hour, dinner, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
We called in without a reservation. The place was full and the greeter said the wait could be about 45 minutes. We went for a stroll along the waterfront (well worth it) and before the time was up got notification our table was ready.
The service was great.
We had a couple of starters, artichoke dip and octopus, both were lovely.
For mains we had different tacos and Caesar salad. All were excellent.
It's clearly a popular place and one we would return to on our next visit. Do make time to take a walk along the waterfront path for great views of the water and bridge.

I had a gift certificate that was several years old but unused. The certificate had no expiration date. The front staff would only give 1/2 the value of the certificate stating they had move since it was issued. Received psycho babble that since they had moved they had closed out their books. The ownership is the same but some of the staff, the grouchy ones are new.
Asked for a table for two and was told to wait until my second guest arrived. That is fair but why should I have to sit in the corner in front of the kitchen because my guest got stuck in traffic due to a bad store. No one was waiting so no $ would have been lost had they either saved me a better table or sat me while I waited for my guest.
Shocker, I would have actually ordered another appetizer while I was waiting.
The food is good but not worth the grouchy attitude

My wife and I have been eating here every few months for 15-20 years. So I would estimate that adds up to more than 50 times. I don't know why I waited till now to voice my extreme pleasure with this restaurant. The food is fabulous and the service and atmosphere are excellent too. We usually order veal. It is consistantly superb. I can honestly say that never in all these years has the veal been anything other than tender and tasty. The sauces are always delicious. We have eaten in Italian restaurants in Manhattan, San Francisco, and a few in Rome and other parts of Italy. La Fontanella is better than any of them. The prices are reasonable and there are usually specials. The owners are very friendly. I recommend this restaurant highly.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. It's family-owned with a nice low-key atmosphere and a busy bar scene. However, the food was mediocre and not at all authentic- similar to what you would expect at a Mexican chain restaurant. It was also expensive for what it was (main courses $12-18; guacamole $9). High on calories and low on spice/flavor. Overall, I left disappointed.

We are a family friendly diner with excellent service. We offer daily Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner specials at a great price.
After servicing a friend's car for a airbag recall, I stopped at Hogan's Diner for breakfast.
Service was fast and efficient and very friendly; cleanliness was good; and local decor was quite interesting.
My omelette was prepared perfectly, and my coffee was delicious – light acidity with very complex aromas.
