Good restaurant and really italian food........ Try.......
Phenomenal time. The minute I walked in the door I knew... authentic, relaxing, and great food. Natalia and Pepe were prompt, inobtrusive and knew how to take care of our group.
Food... I ordered the "kids'size" meal - pasta with salmon and asparagus in. Cream sauce... still steaming when she gave it to me. Despite my need to try new things, I would get this again.... and again.
Prices - reasonable. Desserts...I had to get it to go as I didnt want to miss out.. so I share my pics with you so you try this place.
Yes, my first trip to Newry, but I know I would drive here for this restaurant.
Thanks again to the chef from Sardinia for coming to Ireland!

There were seven of us for our evening meal or tea as we call in it Northern Ireland.
Specials which consisted of two courses for £12.00 each, proved a winning choice.
Some had salted chilli beef which was delicious. Plenty to choose from.
I had homemade chicken curry with rice and chips which was very tasty. Good generous portions.
I forgot to take a photo of our food and remembered when we had already attacked our desserts.
I had sticky toffee pudfing and caramel ice cream which was really good.
James served us. He was very friendly. I think the barmans name was Gerry who was also very pleasant. There was a lady serving also and she too was very sociable.
I would highly recommend the food here and would love to go back.
Another plus the ladies toliets are kept nice and clean which is a good sign.

The Oak Tree Restaurant at Mayobridge Golf Club is a family owned business, it offers our customers top quality food in a beautiful countryside location. A little bit about our team. Our Head Chef Chris Gribben joined the team in December 2016 and his dishes are well all about the taste, he uses the best quality local beef, poultry and fish to create an array of beautiful dishes. Our Sous Chef Sean Chambers has a superb knowledge of ingredients and how to cook them that belies his youthful age, he has been part of the team for over 4 years, this young chef continues to gather a wealth of skills ,experience and confidence from his new mentor Chris.
Went yesterday for lunch and it was fabulous. For starters we had red snapper in a thai broth - magnifique, whilst my brother in law had the brie and he was very impressed. For mains I had seafood risotto - oh my word how lovely was this dish. My sister and brother in law had the Turkey and ham and were they happy campers. As an extra treat we chose apple and ginger sponge yummy. Thank you everyone for making our Sunday lunch so so special.

I believe the brass monkey is now under new management since I have last visited and has a new menu.
I went with my husband and 8 month old baby. We had been highly recommended this restaurant by friends and family so decided to give it a go. The recommendations where completely spot on!
The food was so good that we actually went back twice in the one week! We had a lunch and a dinner at the brass in the same week. If you are very hungry i recommend the Chuck Wagon i believe it was called. My husband had this for lunch and could not eat a single thing for the rest of the day. I ordered the fillet steak which was top class and i can safely say the best steak out i have had in a long time.
Other dishes we tried on our next visit was the stir fry and the chicken goujons. All of which where delicious and thoroughly enjoyed.
Staff where very helpful and attentive, especially to our 8 month old son. Nothing was to much trouble for them.
I highly recommend the Brass Monkey for Lunch and Dinner. A must visit and we will be back soon.
See you very soon and thank you!

The Canal Court Hotel is central in Newry, just across the Canal from the main bus station.
Inside is bright and attractive and welcoming, and the Restaurant/Bar is just beside the Reception area.
Found a seat in the busy Restaurant and was served shortly afterwards. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful throughout, and although there were plenty of Diners, everyone was being well looked after.
Ordered Beef Roast, which was served with Mash Potato, Roast Potato, Cabbage and Carrot, and was very enjoyable.
The Canal Court Hotel is an attractive location and is well used and busy, and good.

I visit Grounded at least once a month so I thought it was about time I reviewed it.
I usually have the same breakfast (veggie bap with a side order of bacon) and it is pretty consistent, always tasty, served promptly, and presented nicely enough. Today I had a mocha there for the first time and it was the best I've had in Northern Ireland, really creamy and the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate. The staff are generally pretty friendly and obliging.

Tradtional Irish pub that serves top quality Irish food with an eye for detail and superb flavour, fresh seafood dishes weekly, family friendly.
Visited for lunch. Surroundings are pleasant and clean. Lunch menu is varied with some interesting items. Ordered “homemade” lasagne with chips and side salad as the main lunch, Black pudding roll and and garlic mushrooms as “lighter bites”. The lunch was disappointing. Lasagne and chips with salad was presented on an awful slate slab. What is wrong with a proper plate? The homemade lasagne came in a ramekin type bowl and was dry and a bit rubbery, with far too much cheese and not nearly enough meat or sauce. Looked and tasted like it had been microwaved. Chips came in those hated mini tin pails. Smallish portion. The larger ones were slightly underdone. Side salad was a sad, tasteless affair indeed with a small pile of leaves, red onion and grated carrot without dressing and because of the warmth of the slab most of the leaves were wilted and inedible anyway. Black pudding roll, while tasty, was extremely small considering the price. The garlic mushrooms were decent. Expected a lot better to be honest as this restaurant has won awards in the past.
