This is my favorite restaurant in the area, we've been coming here for 15 years and have never had a bad meal. I was just there to celebrate my birthday and had another great meal. I usually get the seafood linguine, my favorite, but I've...MoreIt is so nice to see our devoted customers year after year. Thank you for keeping us viable. Without our valuable past & new customers it would be a real challenge these days. Hope to see you next time!

You enter Georgie's Beachside Grill and the first thing you notice is the view. The Pacific Ocean unfolds from tableside windows and sets the scene for a remarkable dining experience. Then you notice a few other things. Waiters greet people with a warm smile. Bartenders create crafted cocktails without a side order of arrogance. And kids are actually... happy to be here. It's no wonder this restaurant is a favorite with both visitors and locals alike. The menu reads like it's for a place where the jackets required are more of the polar fleece kind. There's no Foie Gras to be found or small portions that leave you longing for more. It's just plenty of mouthwatering authentic Northwest favorites with an emphasis on seafood. From expertly prepared halibut, salmon, Yaquina Bay Oysters, Dungeness crab and more to inventive dishes like the locals' favorite, Diablo Seafood Pasta, every appetite will be satisfied. There's even a delectable kids menu, vegetarian and gluten-free fare as well. Reservations are not accepted but you are welcome to call ahead put your name on the wait list. Georgie's is open daily at 7:30am.
We were staying at hallmark inn for our anniversary,so of course we wanted to eat here . We waited a while to be seated ,but to be fair it was a prom? night so many young people waiting to get seated. We got a great table with a view of the ocean, as all the windows are glass of course. It was super busy ,but the wait staff was hustling and doing a great job . I had the parmesan chicken which was great. my husband had a steak which was very good and well cooked. The grand finale was the gorgeous sunset . I was impressed by how well the wait staff worked together and kept everyone moving despite the large crowd. I thought for the quality of food the price was very fair.

Having enjoyed a great breakfast, my wife asked the owner of the cafe to recommend two restaurants for dinner. The first was Local Ocean, so that rainy Wednesday afternoon we made 5pm reservations to dine at Local Ocean Seafoods. Arriving at the restaurant's parking lot we braved the downpour getting to the door where the hostess was great. She showed us to the elevator to the dining room on the second floor (no problem for wheelchair access) and rode up with us, seated us at a window table with a wonderful view of the Bay and bridge. Our server, Leslie, greeted us and took our drink order along with our Kumamoto oyster appetizer request. The martinis and oysters showed up in perfect sequence, the clouds cleared. What a perfect start to a delightful dining experience. Marilyn ordered the Steamer Clams, superb with chunks of toasted bread to sop up the savory broth. I had the Grilled Halibut, which was perfectly prepared and served over kale, edaname and udon noodles in a light soy/white wine broth. Best ever. I had a glass of Eyrie Pinot Gris with my entree. Thankfully we made early reservations which accounted for the great window table. By the time we left the tables were full with people waiting. Marilyn rates Local Ocean Seafood #1 on her Newport restaurants. It almost always pays to ask for recommendations from local people, especially restaurant or cafe owners. This local owner sent us to Local Ocean, thanks.

Saffron Salmon is perched on the end of a public pier with a panoramic bay view on Newport's Historic Bayfront. We showcase Northwest cuisine utilizing local and fresh ingredients. As sea life frolic outside the window, you will dine amidst contemporary art in this visually stunning eatery. A local's favorite, Saffron Salmon is a magical dining experience with its stunning view, great food, superb service and unique Northwest wine and beer selection.

We had breakfast here two days in a row, lured by organic eggs. They make wonderful veggie and portobello hash, and really know how to poach an egg. The huevos rancheros on polenta is divine. Great SurfTown Coffee (the local roast). Good music, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere. The pie filling looked to die for ... back for lunch? or just pie?

The best breakfast in town
We had an excellent Christmas Eve breakfast. The corn beef has was the best my husband has had. My vegetable had a nice selection of vegetables and perfect eggs. The on site made biscuit was light and perfect. The prices are reasonable and it is ideally situated on the Bay Front. We highly recommend it.

As a coastal resident and foodie I can't think of breakfast anywhere else in Newport. A really memorable breakfast experience. Casual and cozy like a small town diner but knock your socks of flavor like a top notch New York deli. Service is friendly and attentive.

Off season, we know, and everyone visits when it’s lovely in summer, but our itinerary had us here in mid-March.
We tossed up between this and another place and figured this would be busier and give us a better atmosphere. So down the road we went...
Walked in, and an overwhelming smell of cleaning product hit us. Either someone had been very ill, very recently, or this was the normal scent. We told staff that it smelled funny.
I walked around the front desk wait staff to see if any tables further away from the door might smell less. They didn’t, and when I got back, my partner insisted we walk straight out! So we did. Outside, I was told that the moment I walked past the wait staff, there were rolling eyes, huffy breaths and a comment along the lines of ‘don’t you expect me to give you a good table?’...
Lady, it wasn’t the table, it was the smell. We can’t eat a meal in a restaurant that smells like a public toilet after a bleach bomb has been let off. The assault on our nasal passages was too much.
I’m sure it’d be better on another day, but today was not that day. That they pretended it was normal was a little amusing.

Breathtaking views of Yaquina Bay, Yaquina Bay Bridge and the Sea Lions. Comfortable, indoor and outdoor seating with the finest food on the coast! Fresh! Lunch, weekend breakfast, dinner and bar and lounge.
They have the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. We were there about a month ago and can’t wait to go back. They crab tray was good too.

This was previously known as "Gino's Fish Market."
Ocean Bleu is what I think a seafood restaurant on the Oregon Coast ought to be. Small and unpretentious the reason you eat here is because the food is so good. I had the salmon fish and chips and they were, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. The breading was very light allowing the taste of the fish to come through. The chips were equally delicious and not the least bit greasy. They also had a nice selection of beers on tap at a price lower than most every other restaurant charges.
