Mediterranean/Continental/Restaurant
The village of Floral Park is home to many excellent restaurants, but Crabtrees, who gets its name from The Little Rascals, pleasantly surprised me. The restaurant was elegantly decorated for the holiday season, the bar area was lively but not too loud, and the management and service was superb. But I came here to eat, and eat i did! The food was outstanding. The chicken tenders came with two sauces, and left no annoying aftertaste. The fried mushrooms, calamari, and zucchini were delicious, and the tomato and mozzarella was better than I expected. My tilapia, accompanied by beets, vegetables, and mashed potatoes was delectable! And the steak was perfectly cooked. The carrot cake, apple tart, and chicolate mousse cake were as good as you can get. Don't pass this place up!

Why? The food is well prepared, consistent, always have new specials to make it interesting, the ingredients are always fresh and the staff makes sure you are well fed. It's always a treat whenever you finest King Umberto's, you feel like royalty because the service is friendly, warm which makes you feel you are dining with family. Old world charm meets new world nuances, oh so delish! The restaurant is divided for the casual pizza side and the fine dining side so you make the choice. If you choose the fine dining side, remember to make your reservations because it does get busy! If you desire old world food made like nana, yes you will find it here and if you want fancy smancy Manhattan-esque flair with excitement, yes this place will rock your culinary expectations. Most of all, you feel satisfied feeling like you really had a great meal. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the table from time to time. Capeche?

We have been going to Filomena's restaurant for over 30 years and have never had a disappointing experience. Mario, Frank and company will accommodate your every need and respond positively to any request. We have been there with family and friends and no one has ever complained. An exceptional neighborhood restaurant.

Have recently been back there for weekend brunch and dinner, and the experience is perfection each Tim. The wait staff is attentive and remembers the special requests that we have. They work with the chef to accommodate and they are friendly. Everything from the octopus to the mussels, salads, Mac daddy burger (bacon Mac and cheese on a burger....what's better than that)!!! Raw bar is fresh and delish. Large and well rounded selection of red and white wine by glass and the bottle and great beer selection as well. Excellent experience every time.

This is a busy place but the staff was wonderfully attentive and concerned even as they prepared for several parties. The food was excellent and the portions large. We shared our choices and enjoyed both. The bread and tomato spread were noteworthy too. I don't love valet parking but the need for it is apparent as there is no street parking.

This is what I'll call a down and BASIC diner! Limited parking. CASH only. Nice service staff. Now the food. The eggs are served in the frying pan. SO WHAT, Customize your ommlette! Or order from the Portuguese style or American style . Have a big appetite!
Not cooked to your ordered specs? send it back . Coffee, very good. Specify what you want. They will make it! and they make it delicious!

Our visit was no less enjoyable than the last. This hole in the wall looking old diner serves some of the best southern style barbeque anywhere in NY. We started with the bisquits and butter, along with fried pickles and some awesome Chile. For entree's 3 in our party couldn't resist a rack of ribs and I chose the melt in your mouth smoked brisket, which had about zero visible fat. If you're lookin for a lean rendition of first cut brisket, try it. Portion is a bit small, but along with the 2 sides, it's enough. Speaking of which, the baked beans with tid-bits of brisket was perfect, as were the 3 huge beer batter onion rings. Cole slaw was fresh. Then, for dessert, we tried portions of banana cream pie and an obligatory helping of pumpkin pie. They were both up with the best I ever tasted. B&B doesn't accept credit cards and doesn't accept reservations, so plan accordingly. And, dress DOWN. Also, they have no liquor license, so BYOB or wine, and I might suggest, as we do, bring your own wine glasses!. Service is professional, but the mastery is evident from what emerges from the kitchen. Ample parking and 3 steps up ad you're in.

Visited luigi’s for dinner last week. The service was really good and there was no wait time since reservation was made in advance. The lamb chops was fantastic and the portion was very large. Everything was clockwork, very efficient and knowledgeable waiters. Would definitely visit again.

This is an old, family owned Italian restaurant. It is a mainstay of the area.
It’s been decades since I have dined at Stella’s. The matriarch has passed away and we all have aged a bit but the food remains the good quality it always has been. The portions are still huge. My veal with pappadelle was a huge serving size that I was able to get another meal from my leftovers. The sausage rolls are unique and tasty.
Save room for dessert, the tiramisu is my favorite.
And yes the place looks the same after decades but that’s part of its quaintness.
