Tried sample platter that included brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Ribs had meat falling off, brisket was very juicy. Pulled pork was a little dry for my taste but still good. The BBQ was a bit on a too sweet side for my taste. Loved the corn bread. Plenty of delicious food.
Service was very welcoming. The owner came out and greeted, made sure we were satisfied.
The restaurant was clean, nice decor, spacious bathroom.
Come enjoy:)

Cute, little place with a wide variety of ice cream flavors. One scoop equals two mini scoops. I can never decide what I want, so I get two mini scoops so I can have 2 ice cream flavors. The portions are generous and prices arent bad. Place is filled with hundreds of different pig figurines, etc. Fun to look around. Expect a crowd in the summer months/peak season.By sharing your experiences, you're helping travelers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!

Iconic local spot. We were there on St Patrick's Day, a Saturday. Full of revelers and fun. The service did not suffer as a result. Food was very good....I had the fish tacos and my sister had the cod sandwich; plus very good fries. The dozens and dozens of photos of dogs in all kinds of poses, and over a 100 year span, hung throughout the restaurant: the most memorable part of the experience and worth the time to view. In season, there is outdoor seating. The Stray Dog is a must when visiting New Buffalo. Highly recommend.

Beachside Scoops is now closed for the season in New Buffalo Michigan. Stop by on your way to the beach, or after a hot day of sun and sand! Beachside Scoops is a full-service ice cream parlor, specializing in premium ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt, and espresso-based coffee drinks. Enjoy our air-conditioned space and free internet.
Excellent variety, fantastic service, and generously sized scoops of ice cream. I will make this a regular stop during my future trips to New Buffalo.
Sure, there were a few kids present, but it's an ice cream parlor. If you can't cope with kids, try visiting one of the nearby bars.

Over the last 25 years, Brewster's Italian Cafe` has grown from a small bakery to a full-service Italian restaurant in the heart of Harbor Country. Located in downtown New Buffalo, Michigan, Brewster's offers seasonally-inspired items and locally sourced ingredients that change every meal, every day. Four of us went to Brewster's on a Sunday evening. An unexpected crowd slowed things down, but we were seated in the bar and promptly served drinks while we waited. The waiter was very straightforward and apologetic about the delay. all in all, service was...MoreThank you! So glad you enjoyed your visit. Hope to see you again sometime soon!

Ok, so, in town over Labor Day weekend, and landed here for lunch. All your favorites can be had - fried appetizers, hamburgers, hot dogs - all of which are good. I got on good authority from friends that used to live there that you have to get the strawberry shake. check! and CHECK!! That was awesome! Don't sleep on this - it's a bucket list kind of thing. Just do it. support it, and rock it! Get the shake!

Chef Jenny Drilon's sophisticated spin on pub fare, responsibly sourced and beautifully prepared. A warm, friendly gathering place featuring eight Michigan craft beers on tap and a curated wine list. Waterfront dining with outdoor seating available whenever weather allows. Lunch and dinner daily, with brunch from 9am on weekends. Please be advised that the restaurant is operating on Eastern Standard Time.
First time visit to the Bentwood. Since New Buffalo is an old, somewhat rustic, lakeside community, I was surprised by the simple, elegant, modern interior decor of the lobby and restaurant. Choices were creative, but two of our dishes were not as good as they sounded. But I would definitely give it another try.

Enjoy rustic Italian cuisine with a waterfront view. Handmade pastas and regional dishes inspired by the season are complemented by a carefully curated wine list and an intimate fireside setting. When weather allows, the outdoor terrace is one of Harbor Country's most beautiful dining spots.
Saturday lunch menu was small and a bit precious: 1/2 of the small menu had egg type brunch items and 1/2 had salads and sandwiches. We each ordered a salad (carrot and farro) and (cobb salad). They looked pretty and were bountiful enough but neither...MoreHello Susan. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am sorry to hear that our restaurant did not meet your expectations. This was our 3rd and 4th time to this restaurant located within the New Buffalo Four Winds Casino--I did not review in the past but considered it 4-5 star for service and food-beef and anticipated our return for two consecutive nights. The first night I had prime rib -I ordered it medium to medium plus--it arrived rare at best. It was tender and flavorful but for a steakhouse I was disappointed it was not cooked as ordered. I fail to understand why a steakhouse cannot cook meat exactly as ordered especially when it was not very busy that evening. Additionally I have a food allergy to the onion family and so stated to the server-the butter was served with the bread with chives as garnish and I was told the chef said it was OK--WRONG! The next night was a disaster. My wife ordered king crab legs and I- the seafood medley. As the server brought the entrees-the fishy smell was overwhelming. My wife had a two ice cold crab legs in her selection, I - the crab leg was cooked appropriately but the knuckle was ice cold! Obviously, the chef does not know how to steam king crab legs uniformly--I recommend avoid seafood half of the menu and stick to the meat. Both the service and food quality were inferior from our previous two experiences, however, we will still return because of the excellent food and service in the past. Its now strike two, and a third will result in never returning. We hope these two experiences were just an aberration not a trend.

New Buffalo's only awarding-winning steakhouse, featuring prime rib, hand-carved steaks, seafood, chops, ribs, pastas, sandwiches, salads, Friday and Saturday night seafood and prime rib buffet, banquet facilities and catering services. A casual fine-dining establishment that welcomes families with children, offering a children's menu for children up to 12. Celebrating 44 years in New Buffalo.
Good food, very nice atmosphere! A nice little gem I didn't expect to find hidden away in this small area along the lakeshore. Delicious prime rib. Service was slightly less than I would have expected for the atmosphere and food, but not a complete disappointment.
