This restaurant has been owned by the same owner for more than 30 years. That's remarkable for an Australian restaurant. Owner and Head Chef Kel Jones just keeps offering good and tasty food day after day and year after year. The steaks are good and the fish dishes are far more creative than most other restaurants. For me, the Locally sourced Sydney rock oysters are a major attraction as they are absolutely as fresh as you could find anywhere, and depending on season, usually far plumper than you'd expect. I adore this restaurant's Oysters Mornay as the oysters on the half shell come with plenty of sauce and not too much cheese so the oysters are not overwhelmed. DELICIOUS !!

Welcome to the Nambucca RSL Club. Situated on the picturesque river, the club boasts the best river and mountain views on the Coast. With a modern and friendly club and convenient car parking at the door, Nambucca RSL club is a great venue to enjoy a day or night out at. Enjoy the best hospitality in Nambucca, friendly staff and relaxing ambience and sample the fantastic range of cuisine from Hdz Cafe and Bistro, whilst enjoying the entertainment available.
Beautiful views of the river from this restaurant. We took a relative from the UK for Sunday lunch. My husband had roast pork which he enjoyed although he wasn't so keen on the vegetables, my cousin had battered fish, chips and salad and he was very happy with his and I had crumbed prawn cutlets which were pretty good, the potato and pumpkin were good but the rest of the veggies weren't up to much. It was overall an average meal, nothing special but the location is terrific.

We stopped here once on a drive north and simply had to go back. This is, quite honestly, the BEST PIE SHOP EVER! When we travel in Australia we love to have the occasional pie. There are hundreds scattered around the country that lay claim to winning some obscure award for Best Pie of ????. Pardon the pun here, but this one takes the cake. Made on the premises, fresh, tasty, full of REAL meat and pastry that melts in your mouth. A good old, non commercial good old Aussie Pie. If you are ever travelling past Nambucca on the northern NSW coast, take a slight detour to Wild Terra Bakery in the Main Street. The coffee is pretty darn good as well.

I have reviewed the The V Wall Tavern in the past.
Back this trip for one of their Bluewater Brasserie’s daily lunch specials.
The day I was there they only had two cheapies-
Beer Battered Fish and Chips with Salad, $15.
Chicken BLT with Caesar Dressing and Wedges, also $15.
I went with the fish and chips, pretty good for a basic dish but not sure what the fish was, maybe Hoki.
There were several other daily blackboard specials priced from $23 to $36.
I was told all the specials may change on a daily basis as it just depends on what local produce the chef can get his hands on.
Lunch is from 11.30 am to 2.00 pm and if thinking of dinner, open from 5.30 pm to 8.00 pm.
The Tavern is in a wonderful spot overlooking the river and The V Wall Breakwall.
There’s quite a bit of parking out front and in the underground carpark but snagging a spot in school holidays could be a challenge unless arriving early.

New River Edge Indian Cuisine is your local restaurant offering best authentic Indian food in Nambucca Heads. We have experienced and professional staff to ensure that you get great service. You can really experience and enjoy the authentic Indian food with real Indian taste in our restaurant. We look forward to see you and will be more than happy to serve you.
Our intention had been to get some take-away from the restaurant but had a change of mind when greeted with the aromas of the cuisine mixed with some non obtrusive music an a general ambience of India and friendly staff. We were not disappointed. Their venue is BYO licenced so bring a bottle of your finest and enjoy some entree snacks followed by a Bombay beef.

It's been a while since we last visited and the cafe just gets better.
Just called in for coffee n cake, both were excellent.
Very friendly staff, lovely cafe, lots of options, from coffee n cake to lovely dinners, through to groceries.
Great atmosphere, 1km to the beach and plenty of room for families n big groups.

A typical family friendly Pub bistro with a good range of food at pub prices. Unfortunately the last time I was there I was left standing at the counter for some minutes even though the bistro staff weren't actually engaged with cooking anything. Left a poor impression.

Turned up on a friday night without a booking and nearly missed out on a great food experience!!!!!
We were only staying in Nambucca for a night, and originally wanted to try the Indian Restaurant, but my wife wanted to go Thai!!!!!
Whilst I can usually take Thai Food or leave it, I could easily go back again and again to Lom Talay!!!!!
Ingredients were fresh, and that Rice with Pork!!!!! Damn!!!!!
Special mention to the friendly owner that squeezed us in without a booking!!!!! This place was BUSY!!!!! A good sign!!!!!
*Note that it's BYO!!!!! My only negative about this lace, as a nice cold Thai beer always goes down so well!!!!!
