Firstly, this restaurant is beside the Prince Mahidol University Music College. It sees a stream of students with their music instruments. Above that the surrounding areas have music students practicing various pieces.
Food here is great but if the weather is not to hot, ask for a seat outside next to the canal. Lush Gardens and good food. What a combination.

One of the most extensive menus I've ever seen in a restaurant in Thailand, and the food is of good quality and nicely presented. I'm impressed. Special mention to their artisan desserts and cakes, and all for a very affordable price. Great wine and beer selection from all over the world too.
Service staff were attentive and efficient. Only downside is that this place isn't in Bangkok - and there isn't much choice in terms of public transportation. Most people have to drive to get here. If you don't have a car, advice to take the inter-campus shuttle bus of Mahidol University from Bangkok city, and walk to this restaurant.
Thumbs up!

The food - that is why to go here. Starting with signature salad and it`s dressing - simple and superb. Continue with duck, pork and the seafood - all just perfect. Carrot cake and butter toast made me sit there for extra 20 min - I`s been some time since I ate so well.

The journey of our renowned Inn Chan Restaurant began in 1964 and since then has remained loyal to Thai traditional cooking techniques using local fresh ingredients. Here is an opportunity to experience traditionally prepared Thai fine dining by the scenic Ta Chine River. We offer an enticing range of authentic Thai cuisine and seasonal specialties. It is open daily for lunch from 11.00 to 15.00hrs and only on weekends for dinner from 17.00 to 22.00hrs. Seats up to 120 people, it can be arranged for evening private functions. The restaurant is named after the first Siamese twins 'Eng Chan', because its joined twin buildings.
This restaurant is named after the famous Siamese Twin, who lived a long lives on display in the USA. It was opened in the same year which I was borne (1964). It is the first place in my mind whenever I bring friends from oversea to have lunch before the Thai cultural show. The menu offers mostly Thai dishes and a few western ones as well. I highly recommend the Thai Pomelo Salad, the Inn Chan Fried Rice (pineapple fried rice), and wrap up the good meal with a fresh coconut ice cream.

With the panoramic-river view, RIVA offers roasted coffee, tea, refreshment drinks, a variety of European food menus, and high quality homemade bakery.
After having lunch at the Explore Riva Floating Cafe, we continued with the floating trip to Don Wai local market. The floating cafe served pre order beverage with goodies.
The weather was so cool and Seating arrangement was arranged according to each party who booked. The boatman and driver was well trained, we received good information about the local on both banks of river while the boat traveled along. Not long, we had arrived at the Donwai fresh market, we were given one hour to tour and buy some souvenir, we bought a lot , we love pomeloes which was so chemp and sweet and some dried fish. we went to on board on time and cruised back to the resort. We had lots of fun and really enjoyed sightseeing along the river of Ta Chin. We ll come back again with famlies as this is colleagues and friends trip :)

If you enjoy a local experience, Aoy from Aoywaan Riverside Thai Cuisine offers a great cooking Class. Organic produce, Riverside setting - outside the bustle of Bangkok. A easy BTS ride to Bang Wa you are picked up by car. First stop the organic market before a boat trip to the Restaurant. With 'home grown' produce the Cooking Class is in a lovely garden space. Aoy does personal classes and her assistants as well a delight. The recipes are packed with flavour and easily explained for all levels of cooks. Not your usual cooking Class such a beautiful location. The morning was filled with a wealth of information, warm locals at the market and beautiful food and presentation. Thank you also to Tony and Alex our afternoon guide who kindly squeezed in a couple of extra excursions and entertaining conversation. Top day. Thank you.
