The place is difficult to find unless you know it but it's definitely worth the short drive. Great local pasta - aftoudia and flomaria. The signature dish is rooster with flomaria - very tender. Tey also stifado. Salads and fava beans were less impressive. Very nice waiters and incredibly fast service.

Excellent Greek taverna in the village of Plati. Very busy with mainly Greek customers. Excellent food and atmosphere
Platy village has always been a meat-eater's paradise, featuring tavernas such as the legendary Kalouditsa or Zimbabwe. Sozos is known for its meat dishes, although seafood is also served. We liked everything we ordered, but the meat tended to be overcooked in all dishes. Service was a bit chaotic, but efficient at the end. The atmosphere is great, as the tables occupy a small open area among the narrow backstreets of Platy. Recommended for at least one visit.

We bought every morning food on box to have with us for the kids at the sea. The food is like home food. Great every food is ready at 11:00

This is on the strip in Myrina, not the old town and one of the better understated restaurants in the resort. They do not do fresh fish but they do great meats, burgers and pizza.
Nice setting right on the sea, genuine service and honest cooking and food.
The quality of the produce is outstanding - try the Rocket, parmesan and walnut salad

Excellent food and service. Located nearly to the centre of Myrina with privet parking. One can spend their whole day at Manos enjoying the morning sun and sea at the organized beach as well as the great dishes for launch or dinner. It is remarkable that the served bread is hand made by Manos' mother and really feels like home. A friendly place with its tables either on a wooden deck or on the sand, under the trees which combines a first class food quality and warm hospitality. Extra tip for night visitors who will have the pleasure to enjoy the view of lighted castle of Myrina

Always a warm welcome here from the Greek/South African family headed by Costa and Lisa. The view is amazing - watch the sun set behind Mount Athos. They always have pleasant staff and year after year the same staff keep reappearing which is nice so there is pleasant atmosphere about the place. In the mornings the cafe is busy with as many locals as tourists taking morning coffee. Evenings again a mix of tourists and locals either having drinks or having a crepe from the large selection along with other lighter items.

Our clipper ship cruise dropped us off in Myrina for the afternoon. After climbing up to the fortress we were exhausted, hungry, and thirsty. My wife and I ordered traditional Greek salads at Sto Kastro. We've enjoyed salads at other Greek island restaurants but these were exceptional. A large flat piece of feta cheese covered fresh greens and huge, juicy tomatoes. Bread and a Mythos draft beer topped off an outstanding lunch. Plus...free, fast Wi-Fi and a great view of the harbor.

!―original Greek Food
We are still sitting finishing our lunch at this fabulous friendly local restaurant. The food is great. We just had feta and tomato baked in a clay pot as well as roasted peppers. Then we had the best tender fried calarami. Delicious. Now the waitress brought us a dish of fresh yogourt with a local fruit (quince) pureed on top. Wow!
When we came a few days ago we had prawns in tomato and pepper and cheese. Also wonderful.
The bill today was 25 euros and that includes drinks. Great value for 2 people.
Highly recommended!!!

This place is bustling with locals mainly middle aged and families and you think there is sth special about it since they know better than visitors. To accomodate them all the tables are really crammed and people from an adjoining table joined in our conversation which I don't personally mind but it shows how close the tables are. So although it is open air it doesn't feel that spacious.
Next, the waffles at 5 euros were nice but the single ice cream scoop was really small. Local people were having loukoumades (donut like dough balls with honey) and we would like to try them but would be rather hesitant in coming back with such wrong mentality.
