We arrived about an hour before sunset and stepped off the street at the bottom of the village through the gate and entered down steps into the beautiful garden area in front of the restaurant. From this area there were terrific views of the valley below and the surrounding Mountains. We were seated inside the cozy restaurant. There were so many excellent choices on the menu for the night. Our dinner was delicious, and we enjoyed our time immensly!, The staff was very friendly and helpful. It Is a very memorable restaurant experience!

You can make Reservations for this restaurant and I highly recommend doing so. It is one of the few open on Tuesday evenings... surprisingly. The rest of the town is open on Tuesday (everything closes around 8pm) so you can still do shopping and sightseeing.
The food was superb, staff was extremly friendly and it had a great atmosphere. It was still a bit chilly in April so their patio was enclosed and was nice and warm. The restaurant overlooks the stream that runs straight through the town and also is next to a town plaza where a few street performers were still going strong while we ate dinner.

Good food although you do pay upwards of €37 for a simple 3-course dinner. Dishes were well-prepared although nothing really stood out.
What was outstanding was the service by the owner/manager. You get treated like a second-class citizen especially if you aren't French-speaking. I would avoid this place unless you really have no choice - Moustiers Saint Marie has quite a few other top-notch restaurants.

Based on TA previous reviews ,we decided to have diner in this restaurant.
First about the location,it is out of the town, about 3 km of walking on not lighted road ,very dangerous. So it is to be reached only by car!
The restaurant itself is very small, only 5 tables ,old furniture ,no atmosphere.
The theft started right from the begining: only set menu ,no a la carte ,only one price ,very expensive for this place ,this is not a Michelin restaurant!!!!
The waitress (owner?..) e xplaines the dishes, very pompous names for poor food.
Mise en bouche was badly cooked ,supposed to be a soup of pumpkin with cream but it was more like a coffe with tones of milk due to incorrect proportions in the ingredients.
First dish was ok ,no more than that.
And then we got the main course, a few tiny sliced pieces of pork ,no side dish, the plate was empty! They all the time are going arround and offer bread....if I wanted to eat bread I could finish with dinner much much cheaper!!
The desert was also disapointing, half a peach, one teaspoon of icecream,a trace of panacota,no taste ,no inspiration..
My husband's mousse was also bland, small quantity.
Maybe the chef was worried about our diet, but they did not forget to take the money, 38.50 Euro per person .
We ordered also a glass of wine ,it was poured in small glasses ,the quantity we got was half from what it should be.
All the time the waitress talked with other couples ,she was very noisy and unpleasent, but never came to us to ask how was our food ,I suppose she felt we are not pleased and wanted to avoid.

Our hotel had kindly phoned for a reservation, and we got a nice corner table. After aperitifs, we opted for their 28e prefixe 3-course menu of an eggplant millefeuille, 2 lamb chops with ratatouille & roasted potatoes, and dessert (we enjoyed their brousse de brebis and gateaux au chocolat). The chops were somewhat lean, but tasty — and everything else was delicious. The meal went well with a hearty 2010 Domain Mayol rouge from Luberon. Service was friendly and efficient. Le Relais has been a favorite of ours for many years. They were crowded on a Monday, since many Moustiers restaurants close that day.

It was sheer romantic delight to sit in a sun-dappled courtyard under olive trees eating delicious homemade Provencal fare in this family restaurant. The food was honest with superb blends of flavours; the family charming, helpful and efficient and the daughter's excellent English hid the inadequacies of my schoolboy French. It is located up a narrow lane a little away from the bustle and crowds of the centre of Moustiers.

This Italian French restaurant is located at the centre of Moustiers. We enjoyed a 3 course a la carte dinner, outside on the frontside patio. We had excellent starters, containing of foie gras on toast. The main course could not really 'WoW' us, although it wasn't bad either. The desserts however were delicious and really looked like a piece of art. They have an excellent wine list. The service is good.

Cool, laid-back venue with quality music and above average friendly staff. We had a drink on the upper deck, enjoying what is probably the latest sunset in the village, before moving down for dinner. Food was great although not mind-blowing, and the overall experience was definitely worthy of a five-points rating.

We enjoyed our lunch here 2 years ago, so we returned. We ate inside. After aperitifs, one of us chose the 3-course menu (pumpkin soup with ham, cuisse du poulet with potatoes & veggies, brousse with framboise & whipped cream), the other the first 2 a la carte, followed by a nice cheese plate. All went well with a nice young 2016 Saint Albert reserve rouge from Côtes de Provence. Service was friendly & efficient. We’ll return.

For a supposedly Michellin star restaurant, Bastide's was hugely lacking. The service was first-rate but - for the high prices - every dish we had delivered no wow factor whatsoever. Apart from the totally forgettable cuisine, we were promised a table outside but were told it was 'not possible' on arrival.
A place that appears to be resting on its laurels. There are far better restaurants in the area at this price.
