Have to say I like a decent curry, and it's great to find the best little Curry house in Mount isa... yes I can use that tag... great curry, and may very well be the best kept secret in Mt Isa!

Have been to this restaurant a few times and can not fault its atmosphere, service or food. Not only does it provide take away but a lovely place to sit in. It is my favourite chinese in town. On this particular visit my partner and I tried 2 options off the chef's recommendation page: Combination Hot Pot & Mongolian Lamb, as well as a starter of Long Soup! YUM!! Good for any day of the week. Thank you Red Lantern!

Locally called The Buffs Club
We would have given this 4-stars but unfortunately the young Islander lady taking food orders at the Frog & Toad during our Tuesday lunch session needed some customer service training -note to management!
Our lunches were large, tasty and nicely seasoned, and one of the nicest aiolis we have had!
The young lady behind the bar was friendly and efficient!
A great little 'oasis' vibe out on the deck with water feature and a little lagoon, unfortunately the smoking area is right next to it, so found that a bit distasteful during lunch (needs a proper wall built in between to block the smoke).
Overall really happy with the food though!

We had a panang pork and red curry chicken, both were outstanding. Coconut rice delightful.
They lost a point as the mixed fried entree tasted acrid due to the oil being overdue for a change. The other entree was chicken satay skewers, totally yummy & generous size.
Decent bar choices and friendly service. The waitress even told us there was a large table about to order, so suggested we get ours in first!
We sat out in the main bar area as the little restaurant area was quite crowded, so enjoyed a giant booth all to ourselves.
Just. Yum.

Dined with approximately 10 people for dinner, and majority of us complained of all our meals being far too salty! The meals are not cheap thus you expect high quality. Meals would have been "high" quality if not for the salt - disappointing.
Staff - friendly, acommodating, excellent.

Directly opposite Mt Isa caravan park.
Went for dinner last night and had the steak with mushroom sauce, chips and salad.
All for $10.90.
Wow what a meal.
Can't beat that for value and a great range of beers on tap.
Pokies, pool tables and beer Gardens, what more would you want.

Café Bar Restaurant - Casual Dining
Across the road from the famous Red Earth hire in Mt Isa. Good quality food, nice and friendly people. However, if you're in a hurry... bad luck. Coffee might be ready in half an hour and breakfast .... well... who knows.... after a while I had to leave.... and didn't see the breakfast as yet....
They were kind enough and didn't charge me even if I insisted.... it was not their fault that I had to go to work ... after 45 min wait...

It was very busy on the Friday night we visited for dinner. Family groups and groups of friends chatting everywhere. We shared a large pizza which was ok, but didn't have much topping on it and the base wasn't cooked properly. The drink I got at the bar was warm and I was given a small glass with a bit of ice to cool it down - this was ok but not very professional. We decided to share one of the small tarts for dessert. Unfortunately, it was tasteless and dry giving the impression it had been there for days. We paid an extra $1.50 for some ice-cream to be add to it and we got one small scoop about the size of a teaspoon. I wasn't impressed. I can't recommend the food or the drinks unfortunately and won't be back.
