We stayed at the Mountain in before and after our Kilimanjaro climb. Very nice swimming pool and relax area. Can get a taxi into Moshi from the hotel to explore. The Reception staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

After our return from Kili we had an enjoyable evening at the live;ly Terrace of Indoitaliano. We ordered pizza, chicken tikka masala and lots of garlic and plain naan. All was very nice, although personally I enjoyed the Indian food the most. Portions are quite big, so make sure you don't order too much (which we unfortunately did). Easy access, every taxi driver knows the reataurant. Try it, you will like it!

Barbecue, Chicken, Chinese, Desserts, Ice Cream, Indian, Japanese, Seafood, Shakes, Steaks. Best overall selection of food in Moshi.
Visited having seen it had decent reviews. Was worth a visit. All of the restaurants serve more or less the same food here. Had a good selection. Nice location opposite the police station. Food was very cheap for western standards. Water was sealed. Nothing amazing just standard.

Union Coffee offers one of town's best espressos, good quality (if somewhat overpriced) light meals Western style, and tasteful and calm surroundings amidst the most bustling part of Moshi. That I rate it somewhat lower than last time is mainly due to the fact that it is no longer one of a kind. At present there are a number of joints that offer similar advantages at some or lower prices. All the same- worth stepping in if you're around!

Set within an open and welcoming compound within a secure environment, we welcome you to come and relax over a cup of Kilimanjaro Arabica coffee or to enjoy freshly prepared food. The ambiance is African, the music international and the atmosphere relaxing.
So we ate breakfast and lunch here on our recent visit to Moshi, and quite frankly I thought it was awesome.
Great coffee, great cooked breakfast (with the strange Moshi eggs with almost white yolks), good service all spoken in English.
Lunch, I had salad with beef, and it was perfectly well cooked with stacks of Avocado on the side (very much in season and there are Avo trees all over the place).
Highly recommended, sit outside if the weather is good, cheap and wholesome.

Aroma Coffe Shop is where the locals go for coffee. Inside and outside Seating. The muffins, as well as the samosas are the best. Closed on Sundays.
This is a great spot where both local folks and expats can grab a delicious cup of coffee very reasobale priced. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Simple snacks and cake are always available. It's strategically located for perfect people watching and enjoying daily activities of passerbys.

This is my second review - I first visited here ten years ago, and it's really hardly changed - other than that it now serves Chinese food (??) It's very popular with local expats, volunteers and locals who want to meet up with expats.
It's locally run, prices are very reasonable, there is a lovely, peaceful garden where all the tables are located and its a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon. There are comfy cushioned benches and they even have very reasonable free wi-fi.
The menu is quite simple, but extensive (especially now that they've added the Chinese component) but my only complaint is that quite a number of the expat patrons were smoking - which is so unusual these days, and not very nice. The food is ok - nothing to write home about, but perfectly acceptable.
I'll definitely return, but hope that my visit doesn't coincide with the smoking foreigners.

International cuisine restaurant with great Kilimanjaro coffee, Milkshakes and fresh made juices! Beer and wine are available. Our menu ranges from burgers and sandwiches to full course meals and delicious cakes and cookies. Our patrons can enjoy free wifi provided by RahaSpot and free parking. Every Sunday we provide Brunch from 10am till 4pm. Mon-Fri: 7.30Am to 10pm, Sat-Sun: 08.30Am-10pm. We are located in the old General Tyres Building.
They were closed. The sign was in Swahili, so I don't know why it was closed other than the fact that the tourist season had not yet started. We have gone here the past few years and never seen it closed.
It was a disappointment.
Hopefully it will reopen.

We had wonderful Indian food at this cozy and warm restaurant. Outdoor patio lights are strung along the veranda creating a warm and inviting environment. Staff was attentive and food was delivered in a reasonable time frame. Delicious curries & butter chicken. Will definitely return.
