We met my mother-in-law here for a quick lunch. Morganton has a growing downtown with a couple of very cute places. This restaurant being rated very well was an obvious choice.
The service started off strong but quickly went downhill. They were very busy, so maybe she was overwhelmed.
The food was just ok. My mother-in-law has the mussels (an appetizer) for her lunch and loved them. I had a wedge salad with salmon-wouldn’t repeat that choice. The salmon was SUPER thin and very fishy. My husband had a wedge also with shrimp and his was much better.
The cocktails were good. The decor was cute but didn’t make up for the food. If going back to Morganton, I would probably try the other top rated restaurant.

Nice establishment, the service is always quick and friendly. We have had several dinners, all were good. I will continue to visit and would recommend this restaurant to others.

A contemporary southern farm-to-table restaurant that uses locally sourced products, with a fully stocked pub featuring a seasonal cocktail menu and an extensive craft beer list.
My wife and I had lunch following a hike to Linville Falls and were extremely pleased. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was excellent. Inventive without being weird, our salad and smashed burgers were great. Only suggestion was that the double patty made it cumbersome to eat. I knife and forked the first patty and ate the second one as the burger. Fantastic house made pickles. We'll be back for sure!!!

Beyond great food, Judge's Riverside has a great atmosphere. From the wood and stone materials inside to the decks and serene river view outside, you'll enjoy more than just the taste. Click the images below to learn more...
This place is great. We had a super waitress who sat down and gave us the history of the Restaraunt and many wonderful suggestions. This is a laid back place with some very good smoked food and home cooked vegatables. Must do when in the area.

I had the soup and salad bar add on for $2.99 then the beef liver and onions which was as good as advertised. Service was also excellent. I recommend this for a meal like Mom made.

Met some friends here a couple weeks back and was telling them how good the steak was (NY Strip) and everybody but one got it. All were pleased. Did note that it came AUTOMATICALLY with mushroom gravy covering it this time-it hasn't before. Also, service was okay but tea was slow in coming but noted the waiter was quick with expensive drinks and wines at nearby tables...also requested table bread was forgotten until we got out food, then it had to be prepared (another 10 minutes.) Food was top notch though.

I was seriously disappointed for our dinner today. In the past, these burgers were the best around and tasty. Not much more than the average Wendy’s burger today and way overpriced for that. I ordered onion rings and received 7 for a total of $3.50. I will not return and must encourage anyone else wanting the best burger in town to look elsewhere.

A fun, energetic progressive pizza shop serving NY style pie, sandwiches and salads, vegan and vegetarian options, wine, and North Carolina beers.
But, BOY was I wrong.....way wrong, completely wrong, like owe them an apology wrong..... The place was packed, but we got a seat quickly and our waitress was right there to take our order. The Caesar salad was fantastic, with a dressing that was almost identical to my wife's....that started to get my pizza juices flowing. We split a 14in margherita pizza and the minute it hit the table I knew it was going to be dynamite! The crust is damn near NYC perfect, the sauce was awesome, and I could have just eaten the roasted garlic all day. There is a 100% chance we will be back......a lot!!!

Trust Me Tuesday is my favorite day to go to Mountain Burrito. The guys can make an excellent burrito with just the right amount of heat. I'm never as good at picking out the right toppings. Super nice staff and a very cool environment!

King Street Cafe' offers an elegant atmosphere set in a Victorian Home. Low lights, fresh flowers, and imaginative local art creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. An element of outdoor seating for the warmer months. King Street Cafe' is located in the heart of Morganton, a vibrant downtown filled with galleries, shops, recreational parks, a movies theater, and more. Hours of Operation: Open for Dinner Wednesday ~ Saturday 5pm - 9pm.
The cuisine at King Street is always exquisite and beautifully presented. Angela's service last night was outstanding. We love the refined atmosphere in the old house. It's one of the few places that actually uses tablecloths and has the utensils set (rather than rolled up in a napkin that they slide to you). The background music is always relaxing and low enough that you can actually have a conversation. All in all, if you haven't been to King Street yet, you are missing out.
