The world's largest coral reef eco-system actually consists of 3,000 separate reefs. The island of Moorea serves as the perfect base camp for snorkelers and scuba divers seeking to come face-to-face with the diversity of life that darts among the coral. Non-swimmers can enjoy the same parade of astounding creatures from the dry perch of a glass-bottomed boat. Formed when half of a monolithic volcano crumbled to the blue-green sea, Moorea is an achingly exquisite heart-shaped island that is simply paradise found.

We had dinner here, and were treated unbelievably well. Our daughter was extremely tired so they expedited her food. The parrot fish is ecceptional, a must try when you go. And the papaya pineapple upside down tart? Heaven on earth. We will return before we head back home. Thank you Rudy's!!

This is a very popular pizza restauarant on the island of Moorea. It is regularly discussed in the forums, but there is no listing under restaurants for a review.
This little place will surprise you. Excellent pizzas with various other entrees like amazing steak.Yes... I said steak. All cooked in a brick oven. The salads were exceptional and fresh. I could have eaten here every meal for our whole week steak. Great food and great prices (for island food).

Just off the roadside, south of Haapiti, is this little pizza shack which cooks up brilliant thin-crust pizza. A great selection of toppings, including fresh tuna, which comes in generous chunks.
Good prices, especially compared to extortionate resort fare. A tasty treat for lunch. The pizzas are generous and very well covered, so you'll be mega hungry to manage one each -probably best for sharing.
A nice area with stools and a bench to sit at while waiting for your pizza. You can eat here and watch the fish in the stream behind the bench.
They also do takeaways.
Bravo Daniel's Pizza.

Le Mahogany is like a slice of Paris relocated to tropical Moorea with an excellent blend of French and tropical flavors. A nice dozen escargot in the traditional manner, followed by filet de perroquet....local parrotfish cooked meuniere (butter and almonds)....truly excellent fresh fish....flaky white texture much like a nice filet of flounder or sole. Tasty french onion soup. Excellent service and a reasonably priced wine list. Open tropical atmosphere with an interesting blend of French and Polynesian decor. Highly recommend!

Built over a natural aquarium, the Toatea Restaurant & Bar appears to float on water and offers sweeping views over the lagoon and Moorea's majestic peaks. The Toatea features a la carte menu of Brittany Crepes. The only overwater Restaurant & Bar in French Polynesia. Open every evenings.
This creperie is advertised as wonderful inside The Hilton Moorea. So we went for dinner, it is not open for any other meal! We shared a nuttella & banana sweet crepe, in a tropical paradise where people sell bananas on the roadside. Looks like Hilton did not buy any. In a full size crepe we both only found one slice of banana each. Why not just tell us it is off the menu tonight. The creperie advertises meet our sharks every night, this was the best part of Toatea. Disappointed.

Located right on the beach, near the swimming pool, Rotui Grill & Bar provides a casual, waterfront option for lunch and dinner, as well as the perfect setting to enjoy refreshing exotic drinks all afternoon. Featuring traditional Polynesian décor and local wood furnishings, this relaxed restaurant serves grilled local fish and Polynesian specialties, capturing the flavors indigenous to the island.
This is the beach grill of the Moorea Hilton. Perfect view of the beach, water and overwater bungalows. Light varied menu. Love the Red Thon sashimi.....excellent sliced ahi, an ample portion, served with the usual accoutrements and a scoop of jasmine rice. Perfect beach lunch in paradise. Hinanu blonde and amber beer on tap; reasonably priced wines; excellent ice creams and sorbets.

The locals told us about this place, and the food was excellent, and a great value, considering the prices at the regular restaurants.
What a piece of Polynesian heaven this lovely little place is! Amazing poisson cru and breaded mahi mahi in coconut milk. Charming setting surrounded by local flavor. We had a fabulous time in a gorgeous setting watching stingrays and sharks while eating amazing food! A must do in Moorea!!!!!

I went here today and was closed. According to Hilton, the cafe closed for about a month but when I went there, two lovely dogs came out to say hello but that was it. So disappointing!
