Sashimi was surprisingly good. Had beef skewers, but they were not as tasty as I hoped they would be. The miso soup was average. The dressing on the salad was not good at all. Service has lot of room for improvement!

This restaurant's self-publicity would have you believe that they offer excellent food, service and ambiance. This is a myth. Our reception was curt and hurried. The menus were thrust at us before we were properly seated. Specials of the day were gabbled and when we asked for them to be repeated, we were none the wiser. Service was so rushed that our starters arrived when we were half way through the aperitifs. Food was mediocre. One main was sent back to the kitchen as the meat was tough and overcooked resulting in the serving staff ignoring us for 30 mins. Come dessert time, the menu was not offered for a choice to be made. Our complaint was met with disbelief and the maitre d' then hid in the kitchen! No apology and no reduction in the price. Just because it is located near Paris doesn't mean they can treat customers like dirt!

We stayed at the nearby Novotel at the Golf National, home of the 2018 Ryder Cup and 8 of us chose to eat at Alyson Kfe on Friday 21 October and arrived by taxi.
Menu looked good and soon we placed our orders for starters and main. The starter arrived double quick and once we finished and the table was cleared, the main courses arrived even faster. The food was really good, steak & frites, cotelette de veau, fish etc...but the Delivery of the food was just too fast. After desert we asked for the bill and also if the hosts could order us two taxis for the Novotel. Much to our surprise and bemusement we were presented with the Yellow Pages and asked to sort it all out ourselves.....
Surely not the total service package were are accustomed to when dining out....
Suffice to say that we 'sorted it out ourselves' as we had some fluent French speakers amongst us but not a satisfying end to what was a very good (if too quick) dining experience up to the 'taxi point'. Recommend the food and general ambiance but please ensure you have a local taxi service phone number at hand.

While the food was not bad, this place is all the money. I ordered the lobster for 28 euros and, when it came, there was less eating than on two tiger prawns!! Outrageous. Patron was attentive but in a rather 'knows best' kind of way with disparaging remarks about our choices. There are lots of restaurants in the area. Avoid this one

We paid 84 euro for two: two courses each, one half bottle of wine. I had dried out duck liver on a dried out blini on some kind of pumpkin puree to start followed by three scallops and one very small piece of salmon as a main course. It was one of the worst meals I have eaten in a long time. And 84 euro for two for such poor quality - I will be writing a letter of complaint directly to the restaurant. We are local in the area and ahve tried most all the restaurants in St Quentin en Yvelines. This is one that we will NEVER go back to. The only positive was the service.

Come and discover La Chalosse, a little corner of Gascogne, in the heart of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, 5mn from Montigny-le-Bretonneux and Versailles, 10mn from Velizy-Villacoublay. We invite you to come enjoy a delicious Southwestern fare. Taste our southwestern specialities and French cuisine cooked with fresh products by our kitchen team. Appreciate the warm and friendly atmosphere, either in our comfortable dining area or on our quiet Southwestern themed sunny Terrace. For groups we provide a quiet private room. We ensure you a relaxing, tasty and typical Southwestern experience; be sure to book your table.
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, and regretted it. I have to agree with some of the comments of 'stein o' who had a similar experience it seems.
If you were not a regular or known to the owner, the service offered was somewhat brisk and surly, unlike the effusive and joyful banter with the regulars.
We live in the south west of France so the cuisine is well know to us, but their reputation is overrated. If you don't like duck don't go here, but fortunately we do. The menu was uninspiring and unoriginal, sadly, but the quality of what we had was reasonable, nothing special.
One of the 'irksome' faults was that we were 'offered' and aperitif, and yet when the bill came we had been charged 6€ each! We speak French so there had been no misunderstanding.
We felt overcharged for what we had, in an unwelcoming atmosphere and nothing special at all. Very disappointing.

The town(ship) here is not one of the nicest in Greater Paris; very close to Versailles and known to be the dwelling of a few multinational corps trying to keep a budget on office costs per square meter. The spot, within a seminar and hotel complex, is spacious and somehow well kept with some traces of the typical French attitude for the "delabré". On a sunny day that allows you to eat on the Terrace at lunchtime, you could feel like in Provence with no big effort. Cuisine is average to good, the standard is kept and, at some price, you can feel allright - given the region.
Blackboard menu is normally to consider; some variations to this with no frills in the "carte" are also interesting. Skip cheese which is no extraordinary discovery. Meat is ok, fish could vary. Entrées are reliable. Service informal but: Mr. Chef, please try to vary the salads and ask the dish decorator to keep fingers away from Blasamico vinegar and red pepper grains... too much, too many, too often!

I had a business lunch in a sunny day so with my friend we searched a terrasse for lunch in the montigny area, lot of owners refused our demand...after few times only this restaurant accepted.a very pleasant woman, the boss, invited us to enjoying the Sunshine in a beautiful terrasse with lovely garden.
We ordered homemade foie gras and fresh salmon and st jacques carpaccio for starters,,,,it was excellent,,,,followed by duck leg confit, served with sticks of polenta flavoured with lemongrass, amazing taste !!!
The staff was lovely and very professionnal.
Go and enjoy !!!!

We were looking forward to a good couscous. And that is a dish easy to get right, but after a long wait (despite an empty dining room) we were served some insipid cuisine. Too bad. It seemed like on this Saturday moon we were disturbing the staff.

It seems difficult to find a good-quality restaurant in St Quentin en Yvelines so we decided to try Le Carre for lunch. We each had the lunch special (16 euros 50) - it was carpaccio de boeuf and a red fruit mousse for dessert. I had a glass of wine and my wife had water. With two coffees the bill came to 45 euros (for two) which is relatively reasonable given the quality of the food. The decor is simple and contemporary - there is an open kitchen. The service was efficient - there were not too many customers when we were there. We will come back for dinner some time soon to see how that is.
