Was in Monticello for a funeral and the family met at Vanilla Bean for lunch after the burial. The food was very good and the deserts are outstanding. Much of everything they sell is baked on site. I'd definitely visit again when I'm in Monticello again.

Nostalgia pulled my car into the parking lot--this is the same DQ my grandfather took me to over 40 years ago when we headed over to Lake Sinclair. The food we had was prepared just the way DQ expects--a great way to break up a summer drive, even with the air conditioner we now enjoy in cars, unlike the old days! A very helpful and enthusiastic young lady behind the counter only made it all better!

We just celebrated a friend's birthday at Fat Daddy's and had a blast and this was in the middle of the day. Imagine how much fun it would be at night!! This is mostly a pizza place but they do have other things. They have one item that if you can eat it in 30 minutes, you win a tee shirt. I will post a picture. It is huge and delicious. They have a wonderful party room and a patio area if you like to eat outside. They also have
corn hole boards so you could have tournaments. Best of all, they have live music, trivia and all kinds of things to entertain. One whole wall had football playing on it. Our server was very attentive and friendly. This is a great place to bring the whole family to enjoy pizza and entertainment. We will be going back at night to hear the singing.

We like to take our pontoon over to Lakeview for breakfast. They have good little breakfast buffet. They have eggs, bacon , sausage, fried chicken pieces, French toast , grits , hash browns, sausage gravy, biscuits and an assortment of fresh fruit at a reasonable price.
We also stopped in one day for a couple of burger lunches. My wife stayed in the boat with our dogs. I had a three dollar house margarita while I was waiting on the burgers. It was a good margarita. The burgers were thick and very good. We will be back.

This is a happening place just off the main square in Monticello. If you are looking for a good pizza, you can order one here. They also offer MASSIVE salads, if you are into iceberg lettuce, olives, mushrooms, etc. It is worth a visit just to check out all the memorabilia on the walls, including signed pizza boxes, pictures and newspaper clippings and a heavy metal collection. Pretty neat. Classic small town funkiness. And hey, it's next to a liquor store.

A co-worker told me about this place so we decided to give it a try. There are very few "home cooking" restaurants open for dinner so it was nice to find this one near home. My husband had the hamburger steak, mashed pot with gravy and fried okra, biscuit and tea. I had the fried chicken strips, fried okra and mac & cheese with cornbread and sweet tea. We very much enjoyed it and plan to return in the future. Cost was $7.25 for a meat and 2 sides with bread. We had the sweetest waitress that took care of us too (can't remember her name).

Quick and hot and easy. They have a limited menu but for a small town its quick, hot and easy. They have a drive thru and call your order in.

Stopped by for a morning sandwich. The place was clean and service was good. They have some specials and weekly specials too. The food was good.
