This is the greatest organic bakery in the area. They bake their own bread daily and their sandwiches are the best yet. Great atmosphere and come in to meet all the local crowd to enjoy a perfect breakfast or lunch and very healthy to boot!
Stopped in historic Monticello, Florida looking at unique shops and had lunch at Tupelo's. It's organic and has a little bee/honey shop attached to it. Open for breakfast and lunch, get there by 1:30 to order lunch before they close. Have a bakery with great selections. But hurry once they are gone, they are gone until tomorrow.

Unassuming but nice with a great selections for the meat eaters. Was informed by the hostess that it was wine down Wednesday, which allowed me to try 2 different wines for the price of 1($8). Fried green tomatoes were divine especially with a sprinkling of feta cheese. Our sliced filet mignons($25 each) were deliciously tender (we used a butter knife) and adorned with a mushroom brown sauce. Mashed potatoes could have been warmer, but all in all a great meal for under $70. No room for dessert.

I found them on google
Arriving just before closing is always a good test of a genuine welcome and this did not disappoint here. The waitress was charming and witty readily engaging in light hearted banter, giving us a small town welcome that rare places like Monticello do best. The food was good we had a sandwich and burger both of good quality and value, but it's the friendly service and amosphere that left a long happy memory.

I always order my favourite Chile Relleno meal. They never fail to impress. I had been dining with this restaurant since they moved to Monticello, Fl. Even though they appear disorganised at times, service had always been good. I like dining in, but the takeaways are also a pleasure.

Serving a variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and a hot option daily. We offer a variety of sides and dessert options. Plenty of street side parking for big and small vehicles. Fast friendly service for a quick meal or enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. Tuesday Night dinner features two entree choices or regular menu items.
Wow! In a small town like Monticello who would imagine such a great eating place. It is a converted old home, casually elegant. It is open daily for lunch and only on Tuesday evenings. There are two entrees offered at dinner, but you won't be disappointed. The desserts are delicious and there are frozen and fresh items which you may purchase and take home with you. Everything is fresh and homemade. We are eager to go again.

Don't miss the best hole in the wall fried chicken stand since Gus's in Memphis! Huge beautiful pieces with crunchy batter. Same owner for 41 years is still behind the counter greeting every local by name. If you remember the 60's, Chicken Delite was THE chicken chain before KFC and this one does the old brand proud. You can even order livers or gizzards off the menu....which means the chicken is both local and fresh. The shrimp fry was also surprisingly tasty. Worth a detour to grab a piece of edible Americana that lives up to the dream.

This was the first time we ever went through Monticello. We had been driving for a long time and decided to stop at this Burger King for a coffee. They were so friendly, polite, and courteous from the employees that waited on us to the manager. We were only ordering 2 coffee's but they treated us like we were the most important customer. As we waited for our coffee's we noticed the next customer come up and get treated the same way. Very impressive. The restaurant was clean and very well presented. All Burger Kings would do well to be modeled after this one.

Stopped in to order take-out. They were so nice and we had our pizza in 9 minutes! I might say, it was a really good Supreme Pizza. Glad we stopped!

The Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is great for take-out! The Cheese Wontons, Sesame Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice and Honey Chicken can't be beat! FYI: they only take cash so make sure you have cash on hand. There is a Winn Dixie grocery store next door to the restaurant if you are strapped for cash and hungry for Chinese! Ginnie runs the place with her family and grandfather and they are the nicest people you could meet! Try them if you are ever in the area! My husband and I love the food!
