My husband and I enjoyed two very delicious dinners at at this delightful restaurant. Our server on each occasion, Walter, could not have been more helpful and pleasant. He offered great suggestions, given dietary preferences, and he was very accommodating to our needs. The food was always very fresh and so delectable. The variety of meal choices was ample, making ordering decisions a pleasant challenge, and yet our choices never disappointed. The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming, comforting, and peaceful, with a friendly staff. We would love to have had more time in the area to enjoy this restaurant again. Thank you for the wonderful dining experiences!

Three years ago we dined here 4-5 times over a three week period. It was, by far, our favorite restaurant in Umbria.
Something has changed!
We went Sunday for lunch and the food was average -- all four items we ordered. The service was very slow (and they were not that busy). We finally got tired of waiting for a dessert menu -- asked for our bill and walked over to Locanda Del Teatro for dessert and espresso.

The restaurant is a charming venue, in a light and brightly lit cave-like room. A lovely lunch began with a bottle of the local red wine, Montefalco Sagrantino. (The white wine of the region is from Spoleto, called Trebbiano Spoletino.) Hubby began his search of the best pasta in Umbria with an ample portion of tender, slightly al dente pappardelle served with a rabbit ragout. He was quite satisfied with his choice. I opted for a dish that appeared to be large, handmade, cheese filled tortellini (although they were called by another name on the menu), served in a buttery sauce with parmesan cheese. They were fantastic! Service was attentive. We were the only ones having lunch on this day (it was still ‘before season”), so we thoroughly enjoyed this as a private dining experience.

Restaurant Oleoteca olevm, in the center of Montefalco, was founded in 2009 by the idea of Daniela Fagioli and experience of Olivio Ponti as an oil producer Virgin Olive Oil to create a place where the main topic was the oil in all its forms and shades. "Ex Alibis ulivis" is the term used in Ancient Rome to indicate the oil of the highest quality obtained from green olives. This Latin heritage olevm the restaurant enhances the products of Montefalco and beyond and has been included among the 10 oleoteche the world. To date, there are 10 olevm Umbre labels of crushers of the highest quality as Viola with Monocultivar Moraiolo, the honest and still Marfuga, Decimi, Daudenzi, slits, Bacci, Bettini, olevm and 2 Sicilian labels such as Titone company and the company Cutrera with cultivars Biancolilla, Nocellara. The dishes, all made with extra virgin olive oil, are genuine as the food used to be, bold flavors and balanced, somewhere warm and familiar that has won numerous awards and commendations in prestigious magazines such as Gambero Rosso, Villas & Farmhouses and Bell'Italia. In addition to the catering service, we organize theme dinners and reservation of guided oil tasting.
It was like being in the kitchen with Mama.

My friends and I went there because we watched Giorgione's cooking program on SKY and we were curious to meet the Big Guy.. he is a lovely guy!
The food was good and the staff worked hard but to be completely honest I thought the bill came way too high for what we had.

This place looks very busy and I can see why, they accommodate any one they can in a friendly and easy manner, rearranging table locations and size to suit any needs.
The food here is plentiful and good quality, I have to be honest, as it's set in such a lovely plaza you don't really pay that much attention to the food, taking in all the surroundings instead.
Would happily eat here again

The location is approximately half way between Montefalco town centre and Cannaiola di Trevi, on a low hill. We loved the experience here because of the elegance of the ambience, the delicious food, the excellent service and the tranquility of the alfresco area. The name of the restaurant is the Italian word for soup tureens, which Francesco, the owner, has been collecting for many years. Lots of them are on display in the villa, which by the way, has wonderful Gardens with lots of roses. The dinnerware which was Deruta ceramics and the silver cutlery are refined and very pleasing. Lovely place for lunch or dinner.
By the way, the prices are very appropriate to the standard.

Friends took us here for lunch. Small place but amazing food. Freshly made pasta and beautifully made food and sauces. Really loved the service and was really more like home cooking. Enjoyed everything they served and prices were more than reasonable. Definitely eating there again if we are back this way.
