We were headed back to Pentwater. We stopped and are so glad that we did!!!! I had a peanut butter, apple slice , mozzarella sandwich- OMG FABULOUS !!!! Plus of course I ordered homemade cornbread with butter and honey. Heaven!!!!
My husband had 2 HUGE hot dogs with chili that he ate with a fork plus a strawberry shake!!
Love the atmosphere and the 2 gals that run it!!!

Our favorite place to visit when Whitehall, beautiful patio with enough tables for anyone that wants to enjoy it, nice tables inside if the weather is not rite. The staff is always happy, efficient and fast and the old time Soda Fountain is a great way to finish off a fantastic experience. Enjoy!

Enjoyed a brief stop for ice cream while passing through town. They had a nice variety and were willing to give baby cones to adults. (Not all places are good with that.) Pricing seemed inconsistent - some things, like specialty sundaes, seemed pretty high while others, like regular cones, were more in line with most summer ice cream places. Good sized portions.

What could be better than browsing bestsellers, glass in hand while listening to Celtic harp and fiddle? Not much, I say. It's a fun, little shop with comfortable seating, a fireplace for winter nights, pretty good sandwiches and baked goods, yummy coffee concoction and interesting events most nights. You can find your books, hear some nice music and relax in a comfy cushy sofa with a full tummy. Always a nice getaway and feels like being on vacation in the small town of Montague. Charming.

Great little spot to grab some good coffee and light snacks. The staff were friendly, polite and the coffee was very welcoming after a lengthy drive :-)

We went with family and was told it was just a simple restaurant in a quiet area of the town, but great food. We arrived early and had a drink. We ordered 4 different entrees and WOW! is all I can say. We had to wait until the salad bar was ready which we were happy to do. Everything was so fresh and so many things to choose from. You can make a meal from that alone. On to the London Broil....cooked perfect to a med.rare. Melts in your mouth with a light au jour gravy on top. Served with a baked potato and roll. The perch.....breaded lightly and lightly fried and oh so good. Also, served with choice of potato and roll.. Third was a reuben on rye bread. Nice amount of meat and tasty with thousand island on a thick, toasted bread with fries .Last, was a small sizzler steak with sweet potato fries. Nice piece of meat, cooked medium w/steak sauce.
Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Hours are daily and have the same menu every day. You won't be disappointed.Good prices too.

Stopped by looking for a fruit smoothie but settled for the fat free, sugar free frozen yogurt in a cup. Excellent butter pecan although would have been better with nuts (not available as this was soft serve).

For a rainy Friday crowd, this place was absolutely hopping. It was nice to see the family friendly atmosphere, but with a lot of the tables occupied by families playing games, there were few seats left for patrons who wanted to sample the beers. The front room, back room, and upstairs were all filled and only two bartenders to serve the entire crowd, service was lacking. The beers were very good, but I would have loved a couple of more unique choices. That being said, I would go back for the beer.

I was a little leery of this place when we pulled in. It is a 50's style diner where you order at your car. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We are talking hot dogs and diner food, but it was good! The view was very nice with the water right there. We watched kayaks and fisherman while we ate our lunch.

Crosswinds Marine Service Owner. Opened May 2012
Biggest problem is we were seated too soon. Loved the view and friendly atmosphere. Grilled tomato could have used a sprinkle of cheese. Fish was tasty and well prepared. Friendly and efficient waitress
