I have always been a sucker for walk-up ice cream windows. This one is extra special because of the beautiful view.
The ice cream is good. Although, I was disappointed with the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream, which was vanilla ice cream with chunks of peanut butter cups and Reese's pieces), my wife said the Moose Track ice cream was really good. There were a lot of other tasty-looking flavors, so I'm sure I will be more pleased next time.
And there will be a next time. Just imagine what that view looks like at the peak of foliage season! Plus... they have food for sale indoors. I checked out the menu and it looked like they had a variety of options. Burgers (YES!), veggie burger, hot dog, salad, wraps, etc. And I know our 10 month old grandson will enjoy the baby goats!
Plenty of space outside and lots of benches and picnic tables.
This one's a no-brainer!

I grew up down the road in CT and loved the great pizza around us. I moved to the South and found that the pizza of the Northeast I loved doesn't exist there. So while visiting, we drove by Maria's and decided to bring a pizza back to our trailer to enjoy. Wow, the memories came flooding back! An excellent crust, not chewy and hard, but very tasty. We built our own toppings of hamburger, peppers, broccoli and extra cheese. The result was so delicious and satisfying, not the greasy sloppy mess we'd come to expect. Thank you, Maria's, for letting me enjoy one of your delicious pies, the taste of my youth. You have no idea how hard it will be to return home to those pizza wannabes. Thanks for the memories.....

This is a former railroad station, with the tables in the large waiting room. Many props to the owners for saving the station and making this a restaurant. Yes, as mentioned above, the owners need a good conductor to keep this train running on time and making money. Our late January dinner was a case of mass confusion. Our nice server admitted to being frazzled -- she was also working a large birthday party. Our meals were just average. The bar tender seemed to have nothing to do, while the servers were almost running. At the end, they gave our bill to another table and then tried to give us their bill. Eventually they worked this out. Probably will not return.

I enjoy Dunkin coffee very much and, of course, I ocasionally indulge in the donuts, muffins, etc. as well as the Coolata's in the summer months. As my job for many years involved travel throughout Massachusetts, I have had the opportunity to visit many Dunkin Donuts in the state of Mass when I needed a hot coffee! I have preordered a box of Joe & pastries for workshops in the past to share and I must say that in my experience the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street, Monson is one of the finest in terms of excellent service, accommodating employees and a delightful manager! The quality & freshness of the coffee, donuts, breakfast sandwiches and other treats are always superb (which is typical for a Dunkin Donuts) but the friendliness and efficiency of those who work there put it over the top! The Monson Dunkin Donuts is also a solid, generous & gracious supporter of their community as well as a wonderful place to get a great cup of coffee and much, much more! Win-Win!

I have stooped by here for late morning coffee, and a snack a couple times. Food is pretty good, but nothing to go ga ga over. Bought a berry pie to take home, a bit pricey. The ice cream is good but not great, and is also pricey. Please try this for yourself. What I write is my opinion only. Thanks for reading.

Drove 30 min's to eat here after hearing great things. Arrive to find sandwiches only with no table service during the antique show. Bogus!! Why would they do that? We left as I am allergic to eggs and that's all they were serving. They should publicize that policy-totally bunk!

These guy are everywhere. Had a fresh donut that melted in the mouth. Use the drive up and was fast and courteous. The breakfast burrito was a little thin on substance. Service was great.

Beth's is a local favorite. We've only had dinner, but it must be great for lunch, because the parking lot is always full and spilling over into the post office lot.
We've enjoyed their fish fry (Thursday thru Saturday), Turkey dinner (Wednesday) and prime rib (Saturday).
Not gourmet dining - but, as advertised, good family dining with friendly waitstaff.

We were disappointed that this particular franchise of Friendly's was really unkempt. The floors were very dirty - food was strewn about in many places. The food portions were much smaller than other Friendly's we've been too, especially the fries, which come in a little basket that deceive you into thinking there is a decent portion inside, but there isn't. The highlight was our waitress who was fabulous (I don't recall her name but she's brunette and tall). We probably won't return though.
