Mohegan Lake, or, rarely, Lake Mohegan, is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the Town of Cortlandt and partially in the Town of Yorktown, both in Westchester County, New York. Mohegan Lake was named "Lake Mohegan" in 1859 by William Jones, who owned the Mount Pleasant Hotel on the East side of the lake. The change dates back to the early 1970s before which residents commonly referred to it as "Lake Mohegan", the name still used by the United States Census Bureau for the CDP. The population in the 2010 Census was 6,010. There is a private lake, Mohegan Lake with beaches which was closed for Swimming After Reports of Harmful Algal Blooms.

A recent family funeral brought us to Augie’s Prime Cut for the repass. The staff rearranged their dining room the accommodate our family. The service was excellent and the food was superb! With a choice of 3 entrees, everyone was served at the same time and everything was perfectly cooked as ordered. Our family couldn’t have made a better choice!

My husband (a big tea drinker himself) and one of my four kids didn't care for the selection of food - the lunches are a little "light" (salad, small sandwiches and some soup). I don't drink tea very often but the selection is delightful! But great place for a lunch with a girlfriend.

This busy restaurant is one of the better values in the area. They are very family friendly, and the italian themed menu has something for everyone, including pizza and pastas. Food is pretty good. People tend to return over and over, which is a strong endorsement.

They have fray bagels and sandwiches great for lunch they have homemade soups and anything else you would want the parking lot can get crowded however the cookies there are not the best though muffins are very good sometimes they rush so much due to amount of customers online they mess up the order but that has but happened too often

I was in the mood for ribs and potatoes and I wanted something convenient and informal. Bob-B-Q's came in handy. I had a half rack of baby back ribs with a large side of mashed potatoes and a small side of large shell mac and cheese. Everything tasted really good and was just what I expected. It's a small place, though I think they expanded since I was last there with an handful of larger tables. Most of their business still seems to be takeout. I decided to eat-in and was served and finished eating in less than 40 mins. I even had a good amount of the sides to take home.

Fresh Organic and Delicious
Our suburban area of NY is full of many different types of cuisines with a heavy concentration of American, Italian, Japanese/Chinese and Mexican establishments. The Jewel of the Himalaya definitely provides a break from the norm with their Nepalese style fare. I like to bring colleagues visiting us for work to this restaurant because it is a bit different and also due to its convenient location, great food and comfortable atmosphere. Our local staff and our visitor really enjoyed the meal. I hadn’t remembered that they don’t have a full bar - only beer and wine - so bear that in mind if it’s important to you. The wine we chose was quite good and reasonably priced for a bottle at a restaurant. We were not rushed so had plenty of time to appreciate our meal and engage in some interesting discussions.

The coffee was excellent; the college crowd lent an energetic atmosphere. There is a saying on the roasted coffee that is something like this: "Developing flavor is art; repeating it is science." Applicable to the coffee I was served on more than one occasion.

We stopped there on the way to Rhode Island. Our waiter spoke extremely poor broken English I had no idea what he was saying. My husband ordered Stromboli but was threw off by the American cheese and I ordered a buffalo chicken hoagie and it was so hot I could hardly muscle through it.
