Best mocha of my life! Cozy, comfy surroundings, where people seem to know each other. We first stopped here on our way up north; we liked it so much, we planned our route back to include another stop at Great Northern Coffee Traders.

If you’re in Minocqua you need to check out Minocqua Pizza. Located across from The Waters. Amazing food, they have what they call Billy Bread, it’s amazing. They have lots of different pizzas available in 12 inch and 16 inch. Appetizers also, soda and beer.
You won’t be disappointed

Stopped in for ice cream a couple of nights ago, and it was a nice little spot in the heart of Miocqua. I had the chocolate pretzel...to much chocolate, not enough pretzel. But the staff was really friendly and it's right across the street from the beach.

The beautiful wooded lot makes a wonderful backdrop for this restaurant set back from the lake. Lots of good hors d'oeuvres upon arrival. The disappointment came with the room temperature and scrawny overpriced crab legs. There isn't much to say for the bland fish either when dozens of taverns around plate up beautiful fish fries every Friday night at a lower price. The coleslaw was good, the corn fritters were like fried tasteless rubber in bad need of the corn syrup (called maple syrup) that is served with them. We did have friendly service.

We offer Southern BBQ up North. Our daily menu offers pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and chicken. You can get these as a sandwich or dinner, and we offer combo meals as well. We also offer a variety of specialty sandwiches featuring our smoked meats. Don't forget about our pizzas too!

Nestled in the heart of Northern Wisconsin’s lake country, the Minocqua Brewing Company is housed in an historic landmark building located on the island city’s north shore. Built in 1927 as a Masonic Temple, the building was transformed into a micro brewery and restaurant seventy years later. The brewery houses a seven and a half barrel system producing seven kinds of ales and lagers. The bar features a fine selection of wines, and cocktails, along with the skillfully crafted signature beer selections. The brewery's restaurant offers an interesting assortment of appetizers, sandwiches, soups, and salads with a gourmet twist.
We were impressed with the varied menu including vegetarian options. We were there on a Tuesday night - a night that many other restaurants in Minocqua are closed. We ordered 2 of stuffed mushroom appetizers along with other small plates, Much to our waitress' surprise...MoreThank you Richard, we are so glad you had a great experience. Hope to see you back again soon!

We snowshoed over the frozen lake to the Thirsty Whale on a subzero day. It was hopping! Great place to stop for refreshment and for us, it was great to warm up before continuing on our merry way. It is crazy busy during the warm weather of summer months, but delightful and fun staff to visit with on a cold winter day.
