This was my first visit to Arturo's. I use to be a regular here when it was Alberto's! I do like the improvements to the decor. It's a very relaxing, inviting ambience. One of the owners came to our table early on to introduce himself and let us know that Arturo's is an "offshoot" of their Annapolis restaurant Osteria. I like Osteria, but rarely go there, preferring Carpaccio's on West Street because I think Carpaccio's is a better value. I alway enjoy the meal at Osteria, but feel I over pay. I definitely get the same feeling, even more so, from Arturo's. It is located in a somewhat nasty strip of stores on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. You slightly feel you have to look over your shoulder going in. The other stores in the strip use to include a laundromat and a bail bondsman place. The bail bondsman is no longer there and the laundry seems to be closing, but you get the idea. They will not be offering outdoor dining alongside of Crain Highway in warmer weather! LOL The service is fine, though not particularly helpful. We asked about the specials and basically were told to read the insert with no offer of guidance. The food was good, but bear in mind you will be paying $30+ for entrees. The dover sole was a jaw dropping $55. Come on now.... We are not in NYC or even a romantic location by the water in Annapolis. To be fair, the food is good, just extremely overpriced for the overall dining experience. I use to forgive this in Alberto's when the waiter's were in tuxedos and fawning over you at the table to be helpful, and were rated the #1 Italian restaurant in Baltimore Magazine, but there is just nothing exceptional here besides the prices.

The first choice for last minute party treats, the caffeine jolt that gets you going in the morning or the meeting place for friends to share news or gossip, the Donut Shack is a community favorite. The donuts (and donut holes) are super and the coffee always hot and fresh. However if you are looking for a diet friendly treat it may not be your first choice!

Love the pizza. Other great options to choose from besides pizza. Service is consistently good which speaks volumes about management/owner. The only issue is the parking lot and the entrance to the parking lot suck. This is the fault of Anne Arundel County/State of Maryland for approving such poor design.

I’ve enjoyed Carlson’s donuts for over 25 years, mostly when office-mates have brought them in to share. However, I recently took a turn myself, stopping for a couple of dozen on my way to work. It has been quite a few years since I’ve been inside this tiny shop, but I was still a bit overwhelmed with the variety of non-standard choices. While trying to make up my mind on what to order, I helped another patron take 4-5 two-dozen donut boxes to her car. Needless to say, these donuts are famous in the surrounding area. —As for me, I finally decided on a variety of common and specialty donuts, and got three separate ones for myself— a pumpkin and spice, an old-fashioned sour cream, and a Bismark. ...These are not small donuts, so that served as my breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack... Yes, I spent a little extra time at the gym to make up for it, but it was worth it... :-)

The ice cream is always fresh and the flavors change daily. There are always the most unique creations that always hit the spot or answer the sweet tooth craving. Next time you want an exceptional ice cream cake this is the best place to go. The staff are always friendly and you can taste as many samples as you want.

Want here today after taking my cat to the vet right behind it. Being meaning try this place for awhile and decide to grab a quick lunch since I had been running around all morning. I ordered the Italian cold cut sandwich and it was very good (even better than Subway). It was very fresh and comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and Italian dressing (I skipped the tomatoes since I do not like them). The do have a variety of sandwiches you can also get French fries or potato chips. The do have a chef salad plus quite a lot of different breakfast items on the menu which is served all day. I will need to go back and try the cheddar omelet with home fries. They also have donuts but, I think you better get their in the morning for them. There was not a big selection in the afternoon when I was their today. They do prepare your fresh so some items might take a little bit longer to get than others.

Am I the only one who wonders how Dunkin' Donuts stays in business? It must be their coffee, which I do like (but I buy it at the grocery store). But the donuts here are really tragic. Barely any frosting on the frosted ones and just no taste to the dough. I used to love Dunkin' Donuts when I was growing up. (I won't say when that was... but it was a while back). They just aren't what they used to be.

We can always count on this place to have a wide assortment of ice cream flavors, even in the winter months. Friendly staff no matter how much or how little you spend.

Highly recommend for their coffee (one of the best) and coffee shop food. Solid bacon egg and cheese sandwich and they offer Belgian waffles on weekends (highly recommend). Only down side is as parents of two little kids it can be tough to find seating on weekends and sometimes he line can be long during peak weekend times.

A new restaurant approximately one month old.
This is the best bbq restaurant in the area. The decor is nothing short of inspirational. The staff couldn't be friendlier. The menu options offer something for everyone. The food is the real star. The meats are succulent & delicious. Their fries are a hidden treasure...always cooked to perfection. The sweet potato mash is a great seasonal treat!
