It was founded in 1907 on oven kebab and still operates with 2 branches. It is a traditional Konya dish that has been prepared at 11 o'clock, which is cooked at 4 o'clock at night, made from the forearm neck and ribs of a lamb that has not passed the age of 1 years. Low fat, oil free and oily options are available on request. We definitely recommend you come to Konya when you fall in love.

The place offers simple menu with just few options but are really worth trying .
We ordered 100g Firin Kebab which came with 1piece of bread + Sauce + Onions + Green Peppers + Complimentary Turkish Tea.
That all costed 23 TL .
It has area to sit for families .
Do try Ayran as it's really delicious with Firin Kebab.
Going before 6pm will because they run out of meat really quick.

If you ask anyone in Konya where to find the best Tirit everyone will point you in this direction. It is located near Mevlana but not on a main street - in a back street. Everyone will know where to find it so no worries there. This is the food Konya is famous for so you may as well eat at the best place they have in Konya (although I thought the Tirit in Sille was better). It was fabulously cooked and incredibly tasty.

Menüsünde Konya'nın meşhur etliekmeği ve fırın böreği bulunan, aynı zamanda Konya'nın eski mekanlarından olan eski balık pazarı civadındaki, mekan olarak ortalama, lezzet olarak üst seviyede bir lokanta. Eğer lüks lokanta arayışı içinde değilseniz ve aradığınız şey lezzet ise, 50 küsür yıllık geçmişi olan bu mekanda Konya'ya has lezzetleri bulabilirsiniz. Lokanta giriş kat ve bodrum kat olarak iki katlı yapıya sahip. Lokantanın eski ustası "Kambur" lakaplı merhum bir usta ve şu anda oğlu tarafından işletiliyor fakat lezzetinden herhangi birşey kaybetmemiş. Burada etliekmek ve börek çeşitlerinin en leziz halini yemeniz mümkün. Biz hususi olarak "Recai" diye adlandırılan böreği yemek için sıklıkla gidiyoruz. Gidecek olursanız siparişiniz ne olursa olsun, yarım dahi olsa acılı bir recai sipariş etmenizi tavsiye ederim. Yanında domates, yeşillik ve köz biber standart olarak geliyor. Mekan bir esnaf lokantası mantığında çalıştığı için lüks lokanta ortamı aranmamalı. Daha önce de belirttiğim gibi sadece lezzet için gidilmesi gereken orta halli bir lokanta. Garsonları oldukça hürmetkâr, masalar temiz, servis hızlı. Otopark sorunu yok çünkü 25 metre ötede ücretli otopark var. Kısacası Konya'nın hem eski mekanında hem de eski lezzetinde bir lokanta.

I came here with a couple friends who had come down from Ankara by train. I met them at the station and the first thing on our mind was etli ekmek! We had a wonderful lunch I highly recommend this place. They were very friendly and the food was perfect.

Nice very local. Decoration is local too. Very simple straightforward food, prepared here. Only locals here. Nice food, good value. Beans, stew, cacik and a Kahve. For 25 TL per person.

Restaurant is located in north part of Konya, on top floor of strangely looking building. We visited restaurant for business lunch. Service was very attentive and fast, food was fine. But not something unforgettable, making you miss it or even coming back to Konya to taste their food again. So if you are near by, might be good option. To travel here from other parts of city?im sure you can find similar food somewhere closer.

Read a mention in The Guardian, but did not look at the date, it was from 2010. So I did go and have a FIRIN TANDIR KEBABI which is oven roasted lamb, and was shocked about the microscopic portion that arrived wedged between two large...Morethank you very much for your valuable comment...

I have also been to some other restaurants in Konya. This was the best among them in terms of taste. Unfortunately, the outlook of the restaurant is terrible. I guess they have somehow renewed the restaurant but it looks bad with all the white lightening in side. So it does not look like an old traditional restaurant as it is supposed to be. The air conditioning inside is not well, si there is a heavy smell inside. However, against all these problems, the taste of the food is perfect! It is simply the best!
