Visited this restaurant recently for a special dinner and we were not let down. Excellent food and wine and good friendly but not intrusive service.
This restaurant only serves a degustation menu but it is a great experience with lots of different and enjoyable tastes. While each serve is not very big by the end of the night we had enjoyed each course and had eaten quite enough.
We selected the matching wines with our meal and they were different and very enjoyable. They were mainly European which I would not normally try so was an enjoyable together with one very nice South Australian red.
The service was also very good and while they were very efficient, friendly and informative about the food and wine we were receiving they were not intrusive.
Overall a great evening at a very high quality restaurant that I would be glad to visit again.

"Be impressed! It's not an RSL club" With it's cutting edge interior, lounge bar, free WiFi, TAB, Fox Sports, Meeting and Events facilities the South Sydney Graphic Arts club caters for all. The food hits the spot too! Enjoy a bite to eat in our stylish and intimate restaurant or alfresco on our garden terraces and sundeck.
Had a lovely dinner here with friends. Food was good, reasonably priced and the staff were lovely. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Mascot area and beyond.

Took close friends here to farewell them back home to Canada, also my birthday. One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. Alex our waiter was attentive and very friendly - along with all the staff. The cocktails were amazing and the food exceptional! And then there was the surprise birthday gift and dessert - with a happy birthday song by staff. Don't let the size of restaurant fool you - the service, food and the buzz the restaurant had was second to none. Then the $$$$ to spend at their gift store was amazing. We will certainly recommend. Thank you to all.

This is our regular Italian restaurant in Mascot. The staff are friendly and the owner always welcoming. The go to menu item for this place is the Chicken Schnitzel - tender, juicy, tasty and just right. The in-house pizza dough is also authentic and delicious. I always recommend friends and family to visit this place if they are in the Mascot Neighbourhood. You should too!

I asked some friends for restaurant suggestions in the inner west and three of them came back with Bloodwood as a recommendation. We were not disappointed. The food is shared plates, we had a range of dishes including scallops, brisket, fried chicken (particularly good), socca and the brisket & polenta chips. Wine was also great and the service was friendly. Would definitely recommend this place. Great for a small group of friends or a date night.

Italian Bar and Grill with a New York feel. Meats on the spit/ Rotisserie and woodfired , Home made pasta's and pizzas and amazing cocktails. A great wine list including Australian, European and Argentina and France
I was taken here for an unexpected lunch and was not very hungry, until I walked through the door!
To the right there is a tremendous piece of theatre with some pork belly being spit roasted over charcoal. The kitchen in full flow and you can tell everyone working there is full of pride and passion for the food the service delivered. One really feels welcome in a very homely place, in fact I could have spent all afternoon there.
I had the Penne Arabiatta which was made with fresh quality ingredients and piping hot. The chilli balance was perfect.
Next time I'll go back there when I'm hungry.
Highly recommended indeed.

World class food prepared by properly trained European chefs and served by friendly, knowledgeable Waitstaff.Fully stocked bar, excellent wine list and terrific Allpress coffee.
This place was nice. Food was fresh. But staff were just ok and I’ve had better meals elsewhere in Coogee. Don’t understand why it’s no 1. Atmosphere was nice and I like the location. But all in all, it was just ok.

If there was such a thing as minimalist dining, Sixpenny would be it. Everything is refined sophistication. No unnecessary sauces, smears, seeds, flowers or dusting. It is not every restaurant that a chef of the year serves you your order. But this is how it's done at Sixpenny. The person who cook will serve and explain the course to you. Be great if other restaurants could do that.
My only gripe is that the three desserts were all ice cream based. Surely a hot one could be thrown in? Also there is no hot expresso coffee available to warm you up after. Otherwise an enjoyable evening, excellent food and service

Every hotel needs its signature restaurant and ours is the Blackwattle Grill. This restaurant has an urban-bistro aesthetic. With it's bentwood chairs, industrial-style lighting, and sleek darkly tiled open kitchen, the Blackwattle Grill will lift the quality of airport precinct dining choices to a whole new level. This will be a showcase of Australian produce and flavours, from our world-famous Black Angus Beef, to mouth-watering Sydney rock oysters. And we'll be using a wood-fired grill to seal in those quintessential Australian flavours. Those guests who would prefer a lighter meal can choose from the more casual side of the menu, featuring options such as Gourmet Pizza or Angus Beef Burger, prepared by our chefs with all the attention our guests would expect. Our Restaurant staff may suggest a fine Australian drop from our glass-fronted wine wall, to complement the meal. Maybe a Yarra Valley pinot, aged Hunter Semillon, or Margaret River chardonnay.
We ate dinner here two nights, about a week apart.
The steak selections and also the pork dish were very good - the jus appropriate and well seasoned.
Service was prompt and friendly - Deborah, who wore a "trainee" badge was exceptional.
The wines "by the glass" are poured from the bottle, at the table - a rapidly diminishing touch of class and credibility.
Sadly, we also had the breakfast buffet next morning - it was singularly the worst buffet breakfast we have experienced in many years, cold and bland - one must really question the level of food hygiene at this location - simply dreadful.
I am a member of the Rydges Loyalty Club, which offers 20% deduction on dinner which I claimed at checkout - only to be challenged by the operator, asking if I told restaurant staff that I was a member - firstly, I hadn't been told that I had to advise restaurant staff and secondly, it was on the computer in front of the operator, that I was a member.
The operator reluctantly agreed to the discount on our dinner - why are people confronted at checkout with internal red tape for the sake of some hotel staff point scoring - I call BS and I'm sure Rydges can do better.

I was a little afraid to visit this place, as I'm always suspicious of quality of national dishes prepared abroad. But it looks like the restaurant is family owned and everyone is so friendly. It immediately makes your visit 100% better because people actually care about their guests. And lamb that I ordered was really exquisite! It was so well done that it was falling into small pieces before I even touched it with a fork. Incredible! It was just melting on my tongue. Absolutely loved this place!
