Great charcoal grilled lamb, top notch pasta with truffle, sweet grilled peppers, beautiful red wine and a very good house speciality dessert. High end of the price spectrum for Italian food in this part of the world but well worth it. Very nice rustic atmosphere and efficient service. One of the best in my opinion.

Roman cuisine (tripe, etc.)
the atmosphere is cozy and rustic and the service is friendly.the owners really care about their food.the menu is varied, interesting and reflects the season.the pasta is homemade.i had wonderful ravioli with a ricotta zucchini flower filling with butter and parmesan.the others had pasta with fresh fava beans and bacon, also excellent.the main courses were osso buco and involtini with an interesting simple side of potatoes with garlic and some local vegetable.i had fresh strawberries with creme Chantilly,a friend had a jam tart, and the other dessert was also good.the price is right too.there is a garage nearby.we spent 3 euro on parking.

This is the best place of the Castelli Romani. The restaurant is situated close to the city hall. We offer a tipical Italian cuisine and speciality from France and Brasil. The restaurant is small and comfortable, it's perfect to spend some time with your friends.
This cosy little restaurant is owned by Cesare and helped by his father, Enzo. Cesare is very attentive and friendly, his food is always delicious. They offer a good choice of wines, including the house wine, to suit any gourmet. The decor gives the place a wonderful antique Roman atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting. Not only a place to take your special person, but also to share with friends.

First of all the environment of al Cantuccio is absolutely amazing. Set in the winding narrow walkways of a typical old Roman Castle area (Marino) it is everything you would want and expect from an authentic Italian restaurant and more. The service is also top notch. I am from America but two of my friends grew up in Marino their whole lives and said that they believe this is the best restaurant in Marino and possibly the Roman Castles. We ordered an plate with assorted meats, cheeses, and vegetables that was amazing and then the pasta...I can't say enough about it. I was so full when I left too, they do not skimp on portions. I somehow made some room for dessert and had a fruit and cream cake type thing (the name of it escapes me) and of course, it was delicious as well. I can't thank the people at al Cantuccio enough!

Last night I had an amazing unexpected delicious dinner at Er Patata, we got from the chef an assorted of appetizer, this was out standing with various very exquisite regional dishes including rice supply that are a must try. Then had the aged steak that was juicy and very tasty and some amazing hand cut fried potatoes! I really recommend this place!

This family-run enoteca/wine bar is much more than a spot for a glass of fine vino. They often host musicians on select evenings in the cosy, rustic dining area and the food is fab. I decided to post a review after eating the pigeon last night. Ok, pigeon isn't for everyone but "la nonna" (the grandmother) prepared a bird to die for, stuffed with olives and sausage. Hearty but not too heavy. Lovely Luna - the granddaughter - is a enologist and always recommends the perfect wine and her brother Chef Martino obviously learned a thing or two from la nonna.

Veggente/Mucca Pazza is a rather famous vegetarian/vegan restaurant located in Marino - one of the Castelli Romani. The food is absolutely excellent and the portions can be rather large (so maybe take your time if you plan to order appetizer-first course-second course). They have lots of options, and also vegetarian items that can be made vegan. If you can't finish your food, they also offer to pack it up for you to take home.
