Marina del Rey is an unincorporated seaside community and census-designated place (CDP) in Los Angeles County, California, United States. A Westside locale, the population was 8,866 at the 2010 census. Fisherman's Village offers a view of Marina del Rey's dominant feature, the Marina, the world's largest man-made small craft harbor with eight basins having a capacity for 5,300 boats and is home port to approximately 6,500 boats. The harbor, the Los Angeles Times said in 1997, is "perhaps the county's most valuable resource".

Amelia's was a great way to start our day every day. Great coffee, home made baked goods and a very friendly and helpful family team left us wanting more. They were very friendly and curious as to how our previous day had gone and offered suggestions about upcoming events. A true Santa Monica experience!

Loved this salad and sandwich place in a shopping mall. The produce is really fresh and the options vast, good quality ingredients thoughtfully combined to make excellent breakfast or lunch options. We went for an evening meal as there are very few good places in Marina Del Rey, were pleasantly surprised to find they also have a beer and wine.

C&O Trattoria (C&O) has been open since 1969. Now a well known Venice Beach landmark, serving Northern Italian breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It has become known for good food and friendly service in a relaxed garden setting. On May 1, 1993, C & O Trattoria officially opened a Northern Italian concept, unlike any other in Los Angeles, serving gargantuan portions of high quality Northern Italian pastas at unbelievably low prices. Add our "Killer Garlic Rolls," nightly sing along, honor wine bar, and friendly team service and you have the C & O Trattoria, one of LA's premier Northern Italian eateries.
Based on other reviews, I thought I would get decent Italian food (I realize it’s California, but there are some fairly good Italian places). This is not one of them.
You feel like you are on an assembly line. It was mostly empty when I went, but still, the service was mechanical. The food is marginal. I had the lasagne, which was a large portion, but didn’t have much taste. Even their garlic bread doesn’t taste as it should.
Go elsewhere....

A Venice-Marina locals favorite since its opening In 2003; only eight blocks from it's sister location C&O Trattoria. (A venice Beach landmark for over 20 years) This location spoils its guests with its regional Italian favorites and the addition of an enticing Grill Menu and Rat Pack Martini Bar; with it's signature cocktails and fine wine selection. An Intimate outdoor patio, valet parking and private banquet rooms are available for your special occasion.
There were six of us for dinner, my first time, the atmosphere allowed us to relax and visit, the food was worth talking about. We took our time, each ordered something different and we all went away remarking about the service, the food and what an enjoyable experience. The food was good, not spectacular, but then we did not expect anything more as we went to be with friends and to enjoy ourselves in a relaxed atmosphere and not feel guilty about the price of a meal. The meal was more than satisfying.

Cuisine inspired by the coastal towns of the Mediterranean. Intuitive service and a beautiful seaside setting. The food is about discovery: the freshest fish, fire grilled steaks, roasted free-range poultry, citrus, olives and market fresh vegetables all bursting with flavor. The luscious desserts, sophisticated cocktails and wine complete your journey. Escape to the good life at Cafe del Rey
If you need a snack to tide you over until dinner then the happy hour is a decent choice. But like most every place in Marina Del Rey they gouge you with valet parking, offsetting any happy hour savings.
The beer is cold, the mac and cheese is alright. The server was really nice as he recommended good places to visit in Manhattan Beach.
Sign up for their online newsletter and they will email you a $30 coupon applicable towards dinner.

The food at Baja Cantina was good and the service was OK. Our group was there for lunch. With TVs and multiple bars, this would clearly make an evening hot spot watering hole.
The burritos were generous portions and the salads were a smaller healthy (lean) alternative. The chips and salsa were adequate and generic.
There is both an indoor and an outdoor patio; the outdoor patio seemed to have some good shade available.

I don’t want to have to say bad things about this place, but if I’m to be truthful I think I would have been better off going to Wholefoods. You can get lighter, healthier, and cheaper tacos or burritos, freshly made, at Wholefoods. We ordered quesadillas, plantain fries, tacos, and a burrito from Tocaya on a Saturday. From what I can remember, everything tasted fine, not memorable. Neither of us went ‘yum’, so it’s not going to be on our reorder list.

We had Sunday brunch and it was very disappointing. We were in the mood for a standard ;'fried things' brunch so perhaps we would have had a better experience if we'd gone for something a bit more exotic on the menu, rather than the Sailor's Special or whatever cutesy name they gave to eggs, sausage and potatoes. Nothing was hot - not the food, and not the coffee. We had to ask for refills on the coffee and on water, none were offered. The lukewarm sausages and eggs were unappetizing, and the potatoes, obviously at least twice reheated, were dry and tasteless. The miserly quantity of toast was cold and dry. We had to ask for salt and pepper, and apparently there was only one set in the whole restaurant as a server took them to give to another table while we were still at the table. Our server was charming but patronizing and inefficient. (NOTE TO ALL SERVERS EVERYWHERE: Just because we have gray hair does NOT give you permission to call us 'dear'.)
It's a lovely location on the marina, but we were unimpressed by every other aspect of SALT.

We ate here twice for breakfast, and loved it. The place has a funky feel to it, but the service is friendly and efficient, the breakfast menu is extensive, and the food is terrific. Very highly recommended for a good, hearty breakfast.

Sip a cool beverage, savor a flavorful dish and enjoy the beachfront scenery at Beachside Restaurant & Bar, a casual Marina del Rey dining destination. The menu features classic seafood dishes and simple California cuisine, enhanced by innovative touches. The refreshing bar offerings are inspired by the restaurant’s fabulous view of the beach, marina and water. Dine in the main dining area or on the trellis-canopied outdoor area, both with amazing waterfront views.Casual and approachable coastal fare and refreshing drinks just steps from the beach.
Nice strong coffee, peppermint tea weak despite long brewing and that’s about where it ended. Served by Robbie who was very efficient, but rather cold and mechanical.
Ordered eggs and potatoes and meat, bacon and chicken sausage. Eggs were cooked adequately, potatoes were unflavored and warm not hot, chicken sausage was like a braut-type hot dog sausage with a thick casing, basically inedible for breakfast. Bacon was good.
Industrial style indoor room with available patio (it was cold this morning), loud metal chairs on cement floor.
Will not return here.
